It was stunning today at the Hinze Dam, especially after all the rain we have had! Great atmosphere in the information centre, Covid safe conditions, uncrowded and cafe service great. We had vanilla milkshakes & buttermilk scones jam & cream. It was quite warm today especially on the dam wall in full sun, so we only walked 1/4 the way in & back. Definitely recommend.

We recently visited the dam on our way back from Natural Bridge. The cafe was perfect for lunch. The food and drinks were great and staff were polite and friendly. Also a great spot to view the dam spillway from the top and also explore the beautiful grounds.

It is just a lovely place to visit. There's the serenity of the lake, the architecture and sight of the dam itself, the history of the area, and the outside cafe. Its got great parking, and wheelchair access everywhere.

On the list of things to see & do on the Gold Coast, Hinze Dam will be on that list for sure. From the dam wall that’s across the Nerang River you get a great view of the reservoir, 3700 acres due to a recent upgrade. There is now a cafe at the visitors centre and in the grounds that surround the dam there is heaps of room for families to enjoy the day out with a picnic on the well kept lawns.
