We had such a lovely afternoon today at Hinterland Horses. There are other riding options in the area but if you are seeking to create a unique, gentle and magical experience for children (ours 5yrs and 2yrs) this is the place to do it. Justin and Maria truly understand what helps kids connect to ponies - from spending time grooming and decorating them with pretty hair accessories, to wandering around the beautiful grounds and through a very special fairy trail. Visiting parts of the Hinterlands have been the highlight of our trip and this experience (preceded with lunch at Doma Cafe) was (I use the word once again) magical.

The most amazing pony experience for my 3 girls aged 3, 5 and 7.
Thank you so much to Justin, Maria and Jasmin. They went above and beyond for the girls and it was much more than just a pony ride.
Dressing, brushing and feeding the beautifully tempered pony’s with a magical walk through the the paddock and the fairy garden.
A beautiful experience and memory the girls will never forget.

We had a wonderful experience at Hinterland Horses. Thalia hasn’t hopped on a horse in a few years and Justin and Maria made her feel comfortable and safe with climbing back on one again. They were unbelievably accommodating, patient and very kindhearted. We couldn’t recommend these guys enough. The property is beautiful, we had a lovely stroll through the fairy garden finding treats, and was able to dress up one of their little ponies. We had such a fun time, and cannot wait to come back again soon. Thank you for a beautiful experience and for sharing your cheeky, but loving animals with us.

We recently had our daughters Birthday at Hinterland Horses and it was amazing! All the extras that were not expected created such a fantastic day. The kids dressups and toys, the walk through fairy garden and fun party games were a big hit with the kids and kept them entertained when waiting for their pony rides.
The location and Ponies were beautiful.
Justin and Maria are lovely hosts, they put a lot of thought and care into the day.

What a great experience! My little daughter aged 3 absolutely loved it and we couldn't be happier. It was her long-awaited first experience riding horses. It did help her to start building confidence. Thank you so much Justin and Maria! Even though it was a rainy day and we didn't book in advance, the guys went an extra mile to give us an exceptional experience. Jusin and Maria are super-friendly and really nice to chat with. We had a Pony Party at Hinterland Horses for our Daughter’s 3rd birthday and it was the most beautiful morning. The pony rides of course were a big hit, but Maria & Justin had so many other touches which made it extra special like a little treasure hunt in the fairy forrest, a horsey piñata which the kiddies loved and lots of pony themed toys which a little to our surprise the kids were really drawn too! Justin was a pleasure to communicate with from start to finish & nothing was too much trouble. Highly, highly recommend Hinterland Horses if you’re wanting a little extra something special for a party!
