Clean rooms exactly as pictured, We stayed in the family room. Up to date amenities that were always clean with laundry access ( amazing after a few long days travel and swimming) the included breakfast was wonderful with lots of options for myself and kids. Will definitely stay here everytime we visit.

What a lovely place!!
Very nice and quiet location on the hill near the grassy hill lookout.
This place is nicely decorated with a beautiful garden, a swimming pool and a BBQ area.
I took the queen suite which was very nice and clean, modernly decorated with a large comfortable bed and a large shower room.
The host is very nice, the breakfast was yummy.
They have a fully equipped kitchen and BBQ area that you can use for free and you can do your laundry for only 3$.

Beautiful, clean accommodation. Suitable for singles or families. Amazing host. Pool available. Astounding breakfast spread (not cooked) with something for everyone regardless of dietary quirks. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. 6 stars.

Lovely peaceful place. Nice clean air conditioned rooms, friendly staff and the breakfast was a bonus!! Recommend to anyone if your staying in town for the weekend. ? Will be back for sure.

What a wonderful experience we had staying at this fantastic establishment! Katrina and Ray could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Waking up to the sounds of native birds in the morning was just heaven. Breakfasts were something to look forward to each day. Cooktown was a fantastic place to visit and staying at Hillcrest Guest House was the icing on the cake. Thanks, Katrina and Ray, for your hospitality!

Nice clean hotel with self contained units with air conditioning, set in tropical grounds, lite tropical breakfast with good coffee or tea etc
Katrina is very friendly and knowledgeable about attractions in Cooktown. Overall a great place to stay and relax with everything in walkable distance of hotel.

Wonderful place. Katrina knows a very thing there is to know about Cooktown and surrounds. Close to everything. Walking distance to 90% of sights in Cooktown. Booked ensuite room which is very comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is wonderful and plenty of fresh fruit, cereals,toast with spreads and best of all marvellous coffee. Highly recommend a few days stay here.

Wonderful place to stay. Katrina is a fabulous host. The ensuite rooms are spacious and well fitted out. The tropical breakfast, eaten overlooking the pool and garden, had lots of choice. Highly recommended.
