✨ THE MOST BEAUTIFUL POCKET OF PARADISE – OUR ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE PLACE IN THE WORLD! ?✨
My partner and I recently stayed at Highland Getaway for a second time in under a year!
Situated in the heart of the Huon Valley - each time we have been in AWE of this stunning accommodation, the spectacular surroundings and the beautiful animals on the farm ?
Julie and her parents are always so warm and welcoming. Even with an odd last minute request for some ice to make cocktails, nothing is out of the question, and they really go above and beyond to ensure we have a fantastic stay!
The accommodation has been beautifully curated, is exceptionally clean and the breakfast hamper is a nice touch.
The farm tour is such a incredible experience, to get up so close and develop connections with her cows and alpacas. It’s so interesting to hear Julie’s story and learn so much about life on a farm. ?
A MASSIVE THANK YOU to Julie who assisted my partner this time around, with a surprise proposal to me with my favourite cow Adele (dreams really do come true!! )
We even woke up the next morning to the end of a rainbow right outside our bedroom window, a sight we’ve never experienced but truly shows what a POT OF GOLD this beautiful place is!
STILL DREAMING of this amazing paradise – ALWAYS THE HIGHLIGHT of our trip!
So magical, we never want to leave!!

This was the most amazing experience! My husband surprised me with a weekend getaway here and it is the best present I've ever received ❤️
The cows and alpacas are so well looked after and you can just tell how passionate Julie is about them all. The cinema suite was so cosy, clean and modern! When our kids are a bit older we will definitely be making a trip back with them ?

My mum and I did the Highland Getaway Farm Tour ? and it was one of the best experiences we’ve had on our holiday! We learnt all about Julie and how her farm started, which was a lovely way to start the tour. If you love animals and very cute cows (and alpacas), would highly recommend the farm tour / comb a cow tour ? what a unique experience suited for all ?

So much fun, this place is beautiful and very special! Julie really cares about her property and animals and it shows. The highland cows are so lovely and kind hearted, such a great experience to brush and pat them with Julie! We stayed a couple nights and it wasn't enough, we want to come back! ?

The most amazing experience! Being so close to the cows and getting to see their different personalities up close was so fun! Would highly recommend! Noah stole my heart! Extra bonus was meeting and feeding the alpacas!

We did the highland cow and alpaca tour today and the level of effort Julie has put into this place is phenomenal and the animals provided such a beautiful experience for the both of us. Everything was run so smoothly and Julie’s accumulated knowledge of farming and caring for her animals offered wonderful insight into what makes these stunning creatures tick. It’s absolutely made our trip down here and what we’ve seen of the accomodation on offer says that you’d be crazy not to stay here as well to get some more time brushing these beauties.
