We were on holiday in SA and my husband was hospitalised in Adelaide for unexpected heart surgery. I was located in Mt Gambier without a private vehicle. The depot hire vehicles are several kilometres out of town at the airport. I needed to collect my husband on his discharge from hospital in Adelaide 5 hours drive away.
I shared this situation with Shane at Hertz and received outstanding empathy and he had a suitable vehicle and dropped it to my accommodation address the night before my trip (with a planned early departure) and he followed up the next evening and collected the vehicle from my accommodation address saving me the inconvenience of getting to and from the airport depot.
Both my husband and I are very grateful for this personal touch during a quite stressful period of anxiety with a major health event. We live in Queensland and being in SA on holiday and dealing with the worry of various aspects was made a little easier by Shane’s willingness to give excellent service above and beyond. Thank you.
