Surprisingly my experience at helloworld Bonnyrigg Plaza was good and bad on the same day.
I attended the store on Saturday 3rd August 2024, hoping to see Travel Agent Peter to finalise my Fiji holiday payments.
On the day, I was passed onto a mature female Travel Agent that sits in the corner whom I noticed is always muttering whether she's got customers or not. I found her demeanour rude and unprofessional.
My first question after she presented a more expensive accommodation deal was "can't you do the same package as what Peter offered?"
However, without hesitation or even trying to find a better deal, she shook her head and replied "NAH!"
It was like asking a 5 year old whether she wanted to have Brussels Sprouts for dinner to evoke such a childish response! I found her reply off putting therefore asserted that I prefer to speak with Peter.
She proceeded to tell me things like he is going to be a while. I replied that's fine, I can wait. I want to follow up my previous conversation with Peter and she replied "but I am!"
This is when I stood up and reaffirmed I prefer to speak with Peter as she didn't have a clue what I wanted or made any attempt to find out.
The Travel Agent is delusional to think she was able to pick up the hour long conversation I had with Peter 2 weeks prior. I am about to spend over $3000 on a long awaited holiday and not just going to hand over my hard earned cash (no questions asked) to someone who was flippant and ignorant.
The 3 stars is only for Peter. He was friendly, professional, efficient and provided options on services. He showed me everything he was typing on his screen so I can view it too. At the end of the day, I was satisfied with the quotes he presented which was better than what the female agent gave me. This is the reason I made the payment and hope he gets the bonus.

If only I could give zero stars I would! Peter is unprofessional and arrogant! Went in to ask a question about what airport transfer companies they use as I was booking it all myself. Firstly I got laughed at and then was told you can do your research yourself we don’t do it for you. All I wanted to know was of any good Airport transfer companies they know of.

I don’t know why I bothered to come back in months later to ask for a brochure on Tasmania. The lady was serving customers but Peter was not! As I’m standing there looking at him he looks up twice from his computer and I’m waiting to be greeted or at least been noticed that me a customer was standing there waiting. He was not on the phone or anything like that and even if he was busy, all he had to say was I’ll be with you shortly. An acknowledgment would have been nice.

The lady ended up coming over to help me after a few minutes even though she had customers.

Don’t give your money to this company, especially Peter as he is very rude and unprofessional!

If I could I would give the team, Peter, Judy and Bethany ? they were all very professional in dealing with difficult company and assisted me in booking a cruise for 14 people in 5 balconies connected.
This is the 3rd time that I have made holiday bookings with them and I will be booking future holidays.

Sarah Harris was a very helpful and professional sale person I had encountered. She helped me to search for best airfair and transit hotel room for my parents during covid period. The whole process happened over emails and phone calls as I had no chance to go to their office. But she managed to keep it hassle free and fast. Sarah adds a lot of value to Helloworld business as she has gone above and beyond her roles. Great customer service ever! Thank you Sarah!

We drove all the way across town as we'd heard such good things about the service the agents provide here, and we were not disappointed. I'll never go to another agent again. We walked in a little unsure about our dates and routes and really needed some help with planning our Honeymoon to the USA. Peter went above and beyond to get us the best rates for flights, hotels and car hire. He was incredibly helpful with his advice and suggestions, and was just as enthusiastic about our trip as we are. He is so fun and friendly too. Could not be more satisfied.
