Mick and Jackie are just phenomenal. We've done two tours with them now (Basilicata and the Grampians) and they curate the perfect holiday of exploration, exercise and food / wine. Jackie & Mick have created the most fabulous hiking experiences you could have with any of their hikes. I’ve now done 5 of their hikes and booking a 6th. You’re immersed in the local culture, food and wine and enjoying their local knowledge wherever you are. The hikes are fabulous and fun and challenging and If I could rate these hikes higher than 5 stars I would. Every detail is thought of and you don’t need to think, just walk and enjoy the view, the wine and food and is honestly my favourite thing to do with my holidays. A wonderful immersive experience.

Another fantastic hike with Mick and Jackie, booked for Mt Buffalo in February but the itinerary had to be changed with the national park being closed after the bushfires. As usual everything was organised perfectly, magnificent sunset dinner with superb local wine. The weather was perfect and we had the best time with great mates.Looking forward to travelling again with Hedonistic when things settle down next year

Mt Buffalo

In February 2018 we joined Hedonistic Hiking for a weekend of hiking in the Mt Buffalo region centred around Bright Victoria.

We stayed in Bright for the weekend which is a wonderful country town with lots of accommodation options.

The weekend hiking with Hedonistic was very well organised covering open woodland , walking through vineyard and open farming country and for me the highlight was walking in the high country around Mt Buffalo.

We were picked up each day in Bright by Hedonistic and taken to the start of the walk and then returned to Bright after the days walking.

With Hedonistic the emphasis in Australia or Italy is always on great hiking experiences, fantastic food and wine. We had wonderful meals and wine over that weekend including an outstanding Italian dinner in Bright on the first night.

The hiking each day was suitable for people of reasonable fitness and the pace adapted to the group so there was plenty of time to stop and admire the beautiful scenery of the Mt Buffalo area.

I am a great admirer of Hedonistic Hiking having walked in Italy and Australia with them and have never been disappointed with the high level of attention given to all joining their walking tours.

My sister and I have now completed 11 trips with Hedonistic Hiking and have enjoyed each and every one. The thoughtfulness that has gone into the planning of each trip has made all of them so very interesting, challenging, educational, and most of all, fun! Jackie and Mick obviously had a vision and a clear idea of how they wanted to design the trips, and they have created an experience that goes beyond just hiking to include learning about the foods and wines of all of the places visited, the history of the areas, and so much more. This could explain why so many of the folks on the trips we have taken with HH have been on more than one HH hiking trip.
PS. The picnic lunches provided on the hiking days are incredible! If you decide to hike with HH, you will not regret the decision and will have fantastic memories.

What a fantastic walking experience in Tuscany with Hedonistic Hiking. This is my 5th trip with Jackie and Mick and every trip gets better.
