I was really disappointed. I came for a long Easter weekend and was so excited to see the show—this was the highlight of my trip. I checked Google, which said the show started at 8:45 PM. I even clicked on the website listed, but it led to a page not found. I tried to search for more info in the link but couldn’t find anything reliable.

I arrived early, around 8:30 PM, and waited. Then I saw a family with children talking to the staff, and they left shortly after. I asked them what happened, and they told me the show had already ended—the actual showtime was 7:00 PM. They said there was another official website with different info, but it was not what was shown on Google.

I was only in town for one night, just to see this show, and I missed it. It was so frustrating that the Google hours weren’t updated. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who was misled. I don’t know if it was a temporary schedule change or what, but it really ruined my plans. It’s hard to understand how they expect visitors to attend if they don’t keep their public info updated.

Yup! Definitely a must see. 30 mins only - the start & ending is especially riveting with the backdrop of flowing Murray & gum trees accompanied by primal rhythms of aboriginal music. Your "screen" is fine spray & jets of water.

The night time ambience of walking through the Settlement is also part of the show. Buildings are lit - some with laser beams & spotlights. We got to see roosting birds in the trees. Advisable to spray insect repellent on arms & legs in warmer weather. Prevailing winds can direct spray on you - so pick your seat...

What an outstanding show. Only short at around 30 minutes but our group of 3 all came to the same conclusion that it was great value for money and a spectacular experience. Will certainly see it again when back in Swan Hill. Entertainment for the whole family and educational as well telling the story of the Murray River. Well done !

We were in Swan Hill for one night and read about this lightshow on the bank of the Murray River. It was absolutely sensational! The riverbank setting and the trees on the opposite bank are an integral part of the show, which tells a story of the region from ancient times up to the present. Exceptional value for a fully professional production.

Its so good definitely worth coming to watch I thought it was amazing!!!!!!! I'm coming back for the new show coming out in a few months and if you haven't seen the show you best come see it before it changes. Anyone that complains on there review about the waiting area or the walk or what the shows information is about is just a stickler trying to find something wrong with the experience it's epic and the star rating should be higher

Let's start with some key facts. 1. Everyone gathers at the kiosk and are led down to the viewing area at 7:30 so arriving early doesn't get the good seats although you can park closer to the exit. 2. The actual show is about 30 minutes so maybe plan for dinner afterwards. 3. If it is raining bring a rain coat or umbrella as you need to walk from the kiosk to the viewing area & back (total around 400m) The actual viewing area is under cover so you are safe from the rain there. 4. Wheelchairs are accommodated.
If you are visiting Swan Hill as a tourist (or haven't been to this show before) then it is well worth going. Having said that it is a bit of a mixed bag in quality. The beginning & end (say two thirds of show) makes good use of the medium. The middle part simply uses sprayed water as a projection screen for a movie. Nothing wrong with that but the rest of the show demonstrates the medium can be better utilised. Hopefully Swan Hill council invests in updating the show & keeping it fresh. An added bonus is seeing the village lit up at night which is a nice way to finish the evening.
