We stayed in the garden room for 4 nights whilst visiting for the Lions rugby tour. The hosts Bryce and Lindsay were outstanding, nothing was too much trouble for them, arranging a late check in, arranging a taxi for our departure - even letting us store our luggage in the room and use it to get changed / freshen up before our flight home. Our room was just like the pictures, spotlessly clean, was a great size and very comfortable. I had to work on the first day and was also feeling unwell and staying in a comfortable space that was similar to home (we also live in a heritage villa) made all the difference The accommodation is close to bus stops, ferry or an easy uber so getting around the city was cheap and easy, no need for a car. The area has decent coffee shops, etc and nearby suburbs have great boutique shops / bars / restaurants. We found some great restaurants and bars that had a much more "local" vibe which we enjoyed. The breakfasts were wonderful and a great start to the day, Bryce was a wealth of knowledge and we found his advice and tips invaluable. In recent years we have bypassed Brisbane and gone straight to the sunshine coast, in future we will be stopping for a few nights here - if they have space. Would highly recommend.

This really ranks up there as one of the best places we have ever stayed and just wished it had been more than a 2 night flying visit. The property is historical and is immaculately maintained and spotlessly clean. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts Bryce and Lindsay, and the breakfast was delicious, as were the tasty home baked complimentary muffins and there was an honesty system for spirits. We were late arriving because our flight was rearranged but made no difference to Bryce who helped us in with our bags, having moved his car from the place he had saved for us. A great stay.

This is no ordinary place to stay, it really is 6 stars. Everything is just as you hope it might be, but not often delivered. Spacious rooms, beautiful living area and gardens, linens, towels - you really didn't have to - are top shelf. Breakfast on the verandah is superb. And an easy walk to restaurants and bars and the ferry to the city.
I won't be staying anywhere else.

The hosts could not have been kinder, even in the face if an upcoming cyclone they allowed me to adjust my booking. Such a terrific option for business as they have the intimacy of a bnb but the quality of service of a boutique hotel. I cannot recommend them enough.

The hosts of this wonderful queenlander house welcome you with open arms. Everything is worked out in the detail and all comfort is available. We enjoyed the friendly contact and got many useful tips and advise. Great location as well. I would recommend it to everyone.

We love Heal house! It was the perfect spot to end our trip to Australia. We got great recommendations for making the most out of our short time in Brisbane from Bryce and a lovely home-cooked breakfast on the veranda from Bryce and Lindsay. Great location, it was an easy walk from the train station and is near to cafes and a ferry stop. The room was comfortable and charming. We didn't want to leave! It truly healed us before our long trip back home.

This is our second time staying at the Heal House and it was just as perfect as the first stay. The house is beautifully decorated and our room had a comfortable bed, large bathroom with fluffy towels, and plenty of storage space. Breakfasts were delicious and our hosts took note of our preferences. I especially appreciated the coffee, tea and snacks in our room. Bryce and Lindsay are fabulous hosts; communication was excellent and they were very responsive to my email messages. Their recommendations for activities and dining helped make our visit to Brisbane very memorable.

This is a must stay place when in Brisbane. Our stay was most comfortable. Hosts Bryce and Lindsay made every effort to ensure we had a great stay. My wife and I felt quite pampered throughout our stay. The served breakfast each morning was a real treat and little extras like the mini bar and access to a transit pass were appreciated.

The renovation to this once boarding house from the early 1900’s made us feel we went back in time but with all the modern comforts. Such a comfortable bed.

Easy access to the City Cat ferry service and many dining choices a short walk away down to the river or into New Farm central.
