The weather was extremely hot 🔥.
Being new I first went to a large open area behind the grandstand. It had a high roof, metal!. Like being in an oven. No circulation of air, no fans. Extremely uncomfortable.
To watch the races you had to go to the front of the grandstand. , in the open, no shade. Extremely hot 🔥. Viewing the races...the horse went past you but the finishing post was approximately 150m to the left of you. Absolutely ridiculous.. Consequently no idea of the finishing order.
I eventually asked about an air-conditioned area. There was one that was open to the public.
Pros....air-conditioning!, a bookie, live 2 piece bad playing good music not too loud
Cons....no TAB, no large screen TV's.. Could have stayed home for the same entertainment.
All the staff I had dealings with were great.
Needs a lot of improvement to be a viable option to attend this race track.

Went to Hawkesbury race course for the plant fair. They do their best to plan parking but most of the parking is on grass areas and the limited carpark they have is just loose grave and mud. Something to keep in mind if it’s wet as muddy grass and wheelchairs aren’t always a good mix, but once you are inside the gates it’s paved paths and areas which is really nice. One disable restroom I found which was inside the normal mens restroom with no disable signage so had to ask a few people to find it and make sure I was going the right way. Extra signage would be great.

Great day out if you love horses or horse racing. family friendly. walk from Clarendon train station. Enjoy the sunshine or under cover areas if the weather is not so good.

The band near the garden tables were great. Familar songs and well sung and played.
The checkin was fast and efficient.
The atmosphere was fun and set the course for an enjoyable day.
Only one coffe van, which ran out before lunch.
The food is a little overpriced.
The two of female toilets in the grandstand, which had queues all day.

I attended the Rock the Racecourse event here and it was amazing. It’s a great venue. The facilities are great, James Heddo, the CEO, is an absolute gentleman, and a big shout out in particular to Ingrid behind the bar who was absolutely lovely and a real professional.
