I’ve booked my travel plans with Happy Travels Australia for a road trip along the east coast of Australia twice, and both experiences have saved me so much time and had ensured that my travel trips are well planned and calculated. Activities and Car options are well priced too. I recently had the pleasure of working with Thomas Maclaren on a last minute trip with my friends and Tom was able to quickly give us travel advice and lock in activities within DAYS. Highly recommend. Thank you Happy Travels for organising my trips and ensuring I have a memorable time here in Australia.

This company recently emailed former customers & asked them to vote Happy Travels as the best tour operator in Australia and New Zealand. A $50 voucher was offered as incentive to participate.

I voted, followed their instructions and…then nothing. Absolute silence. Sent a follow-up message and finally got a response 3 days later.

Turns out that you have to spend $1,000 DOLLARS to get a paltry $50 discount voucher. WHAT?

Two issues here:

1. The company’s initial lack of response was beyond lazy. I should not have to waste my time following up.

2. Their exclusion of the extraordinarily high spending requirement ($1,000!!!) is highly misleading and borderline dishonest.

My advice is not to participate in any contests with this company.

Freya was the most amazing help! She sorted out our whole trip and made multiple different schedules when we changed our mind or our plans kept changing! She was so patient and understanding and made us feel so excited for the trip. Freya gave her honest opinions to help us decide on the best itinerary and made it as cost effective as possible! Highly recommend booking a trip through happy travels as it makes you feel so at ease about travelling and the staff are happy to help no matter what!!

Lauren was so helpful ! I had a bit of an idea of the dates I wanted to go and wanted to do it on a budget while also getting private rooms instead of hostels . She sent through an itinerary and some voicenotes to talk me through each day and each experience! She also said I could add or change things easily .. couldn't have made it easier 🙂 have recommended with a few of my friends to book with happy travels ! Spoke with Jake Bendix on the online call centre, absolute legend!
Listened to my inquiries, matched me and my friend with the perfect snorkeling tour in the Whitsundays within 15 minutes. We had the best time there and such great tour host the tour company Jake passed us onto! Worth the cost and really appreciate that Jake took the time to understand what we were after, I don’t generally go to travel agents when I travel - however Jake has left such a great impression with his research and work that I wouldn’t hesitate to use Happy Travels and Jake’s services again for our future travels!! Thanks for all your support Jake, appreciate it! Looking forward to booking the next trip 🙂

Liv from Happy Travels was amazing when it came to booking my easy coust tour I couldn’t thank her enough for it, she was so friendly, extremely helpful and took a massive weight off my shoulders planning absolutely everything for me. She also went out her way to add my friend onto the same trip in the same hostels and adapted it dependent on our different budgets. Really appreciate her and would highly recommend her to anyone struggling - especially so last minute!!
