Had an awesome time at Hannans looking & learning abiut the history of how the mine was worked. Loved seeing the pioneer village and how people back then lived. Especially, had fun panning for gold. A great experience, would highly recommend.

Brilliant and the staff member Naomi was so welcoming, knowledgeable and relatable. She is truly a gem, how fitting she is working at a Gold Mine albeit a tourist mine.

Loved the displays, so much detail and make you ethos incredibly hard Paddy and all the other miners had it.

We visited primarily for the free tour of the Bigpit but also to climb into the cabs of the haul truck & digger. The tour was brief but informative & interesting if you've never been to a mine before.

What a fantastic experience to see how the miners lived and worked. The kids had a fantastic time panning for gold and looking around at the gold mine history.

Visited here on a lovely sunny July day 2024, and found it quite good in all aspects to the mining ages..actual time spent here was 3 hours, yes you get lost in history of mining, some massive information that will astound you and think WOW..
