Gundagai Motel - Gundagai, New South Wales

I'm not going in guns blazing, but there are some things that need to be addressed.
We stayed three nights and were not aware that the rooms were not serviced daily. The beds not getting made is totally fine, but there should be signs in the room stating that the replacement of clean towels is not done. As the motel is run remotely, there is no reception to ask only a phone number to call.
What is a major issue is that in the shower, both the hot and cold water taps run at a scorching temperature. No cold water at all. The first nights shower was very hot, but by the 3rd night, it was impossible to use. This is a very serious matter that needs attention. The coffee making area is too cramped, with the jug and toaster sitting on top of the microwave, leaving a very small ledge to try and put your cup.
As for the comfort, the mattress was very hard, but we are all different, and some may find that ideal.
The room itself was clean, as was the bathroom.
The location is perfect, only a short stroll to the supermarket and main street shops.

The room itself was very basic and adequate except for the issues mentioned.

I have stayed at this motel before when travelling and it was relatively cheap and ok. If you get a room on West Street be aware it is the main trucking route through town and can get noisy but it’s gotta be cheap for a reason. However this time around the bed or whole room or something stunk of cigarette smoke and bad body odour. It was foul. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Great little country motel, recently refurbished rooms are comfortable and provide the amenities a traveller require. Microwave toaster bowls plates etc. Bathroom very clean with wall mounted amenities including shaving cream. A little table an chairs out side to enjoy the view with a drink after a long day in the car.
Rooms are compact and the bed comfortable. Walking distance to clubs and pub.
Wall not greatly sound proof
Would say here again.
Oh the electronic keyless entry a great idea, book on line receive a TEXT with pssscodr at check in time,seamless

Very clean and comfortable room close to shops I can't fault it one bit would definitely stay there again

Great location and good value. Perfect place to stay overnight if travelling Syd-Melb. Keyless entry made it all a very easy checkin and checkout. Only downside was the fridge didn't keep things cold or re-freeze ice packs 🙁

Perfect place for a stopover. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Bed isn't like a rock and there is a Toaster, microwave and kettle with a small fridge. I loved the information folder with the history of Gundagai. It's in a great location- I walked to Lotts Family hotel for a lovely dinner and Woolies is only 2 minutes walk. I will be using this motel for future trips

An absolute pleasure from check in to check out.|The nicest room I have stayed in in a very long time. |The room was spotlessly clean, the beds were very comfortable, The water pressure in the shower great and the hot water was Instant.|I have found my new overnight stay place for the family when traveling from Melbourne to Sydney

This property is very convenient to the CBD and in particular the Serviceman’s club. Only a short distance to a good selection of hotels where a meal can be had.|The room was small, although clean and comfortable, however the road noise was horrendous. Every truck or car that went past was audible in the room making an uncomfortable night, and there were a lot of trucks like its a bypass or similar.|Check-in was unique as a code was sent by SMS with a room allocation. We never saw anyone from the property at all.
