I am a tablelands local and Have stayed here 2 times now! Always a great relaxing get away stay. Penny is so helpful and breakfast is always delicous!! Will definitely be back

We absolutely loved our stay here. Penny and Jorg are perfect hosts, our African room was beautifully furnished...cosy, exotic... exceeding our expectations. The king bed was very comfortable and the open fire and spa bath made our stay feel very luxurious. The breakfasts were excellent. We'll definitely be back!

A real find if you’re exploring the tablelands. Located in countryside just a few minutes out of Yungaburra; so very peaceful. A short walk to Petersen’s Creek where we managed to spot a couple of platypus cavorting- in a quasi-secret location that Penny directed us to ( as opposed to crowded advertised viewing platform 500 metres away). Penny and Jorg delightful proprietors with good tips on local places and providing plentiful and delicious breakfast.

We were only able to spend 1 night in this cozy B&B. We were pleasantly surprised by our spacious exotic room with a huge awesome bathroom. Penny provided a delicious hot breakfast & accommodated our specific preferences. She educated us on how to get to the walking track along the creek & were lucky enough to spot a platypus. She went the extra mile and picked us up at the local pub after our delicious dinner! If you're in Yungaburra - don't miss this gem!

This was our second stay at Gumtree on Gillies (we were there 3 years ago). This time we stayed in the Moroccan room and we really liked it. Lots of natural light plus the screened window above the bed opens to allow wonderful fresh air. Our host, Penny, was great as was the in-room breakfast (loved the fresh-squeezed juice!). Comfortable King size bed, super quiet room, great host.

The Africa room was delightful (although the tv was very small). Hosts Penny and Jorg were extremely accommodating and shared their local knowledge on walks and wildlife.||Breakfasts were delicious. Great location just outside Yungaburra village near platypus creek. We even saw a tree kangaroo next to their property!

After searching high and low for a place to stay on one of the busiest weekends of the year (we didn't know) but we called up and were greeted by one of the friendly hosts Jorg! ||||We were wary because the pics online weren't great but as soon as we stepped in the room my partner and i were blown away by the beautiful, spacious African nights room...pics did not do it justice! The spa was incredible.and everything was decorated so thoughtfully...even the DVDs left here to watch were "out of africa" "african queen" "last king of scotland" and "africa calling" which was a funny and thoughtful touch. There is a fireplace you can use as well as complimentary port and chocolates and coffee and cereal among other things.||||Complimentary breakfast was absolutely wonderful and much more effort put into it than any normal hotel or b&b or resort. ||||Location is ideal, a short walk to see platypuses and visit a lovely restaurant (Nicks)...basically a killer combination!||||We are definitely coming back...you won't be disappointed!

A perfect location close to the township of Yungaburra. Very quite with lovely 'themed' but functional room with open fire place and double spa bath. Plus a bottle of nice port!|The breakfast foods were yumo and plentiful. |The very hospitable hosts even provided us with a weber BBQ to cook our meal. |This BnB would have to be the best value BnB on the Tablelands.|
