When we first moved to Albany several years ago we were hoping to find a community radio station that did more than just play the same music on repeat that commercial radio stations do. So we were delighted when we found Great Southern FM. Not only do they play a wide range of music across multiple genres, they also provide lots of information about local events and community activities. These days the car radio is permanently tuned to 100.9. And the Community Radio Plus app on my phone has Great Southern FM set as a favourite.

Great to listen to mostly. One thing - one presenter gives windspeed as Kilometres, should be Kilometres per hour. Bit picky but how far the wind is going to travel is a bit of an anomaly!

Before 2018 i would of given 0 stars in my review . station - six charlie romeo alpha - has only improved in the last 12 months in my present review i give 4 stars as only in 2017/2018 has the station improved there is a lot of work needed but i believe the station is getting better. ps many of the older announcer's don't sound professional in the way they talk on air . thanks rod for teaching those lacking skill's to sound more professional on air however some announcer's would be best off pre recording each episode of there program in something like Adobe Audition or Pro tools.
