You get what you pay for, but overall a nice stay, clean rooms, clean toilets & shower. A bit weird that the reception of the hotel is the same as the pub counter and that it only opens at 10am. And could do with a lift cause taking luggage upstairs was hard, although one of the staff kindly helped me with my bags

Clean, budget accommodation - cheapest around at the time so it suited us for a night. Our family room had windows facing the main road so unfortunately we did get a lot of traffic noise, and Sydney temperatures were very hot and humid at the time so our ceiling fan didn't really cater to our family size room for the 4 of us - it was hot & muggy. Next time air con would be preferable, but it was a good price and and in close proximity to the airport.

Budget Hotel in a quiet area close to shops and railway station .|Rooms are very basic with shared bathrooms but very clean and tidy. Bed comfortable. |Service was very friendly and helpful.|Really can't complain for a budget motel if you're just looking for a basic and cheap room for the night of a few days stay|

Everything was great. Friendly staff , very nice room , all necessary amenities , clean shared bathroom, affordable , easy access to the airport. It was second time I booked this hotel and I will come back again in the future . Highly recommended.

The family room suited us well on this unexpected stay, it was spacious and across the hallway from a unisex bathroom. The staff were friendly, and it was good value. Minimal noise from the sportsbar downstairs but the neon sign outside our window did give an all night long glow. Easy access to the airport and Rockdale Station just across the road as well.

Location is good which is near to train station.
The staffs are friendly and hopefully.

However there is no air conditioner, no hairdryer, and it’s very noisy given it is just closer to main street.

What a horrific stay it was at this place. I tried to request to cancel the booking without being charged the full price of the stay and sent the cancellatiom request about an hour after I booked but no response. I then tried to call them and ask if I could speak to the manager/owner about the cancellation request but they kept saying that management weren't able to deal with it and I had to wait for the owner/head office to respond. I told them I needed a response asap and only booked with them due to another booking/accommodation I had that fell through last minute from plumbing issues, and wanted to cancel my booking with Grand Hotel because the other place contacted back saying plumbing was fixed. Grand Hotel never responded after multiple attempts of contacting them and we couldn't afford to book elsewhere so had no choice but to go. We got there and the entire place smelt like stale cigarrette. The room was over 30 degrees, no aircon, ceiling fan made zero difference (the room had high ceilings), it didn't spin very fast at all and they did not specify that they didn't have aircon in their description on booking.com. The room was also situated in direct sunlight so it was just stinking hot with a stale smell. The staff even admitted that only 4 or 5 of the rooms have aircon and it was unkown as to why the rest didn't. The windows opened all the way up with no safety/fall protection whatsoever from the top floor so wouldn't recommend children staying there at all. They then said they could supply us with a pedestal fan, and with no surprise it didn't pivot or work properly. It was a small floor sitting one that was only about 30cm tall so we had to put it on a chair for it to cool us down. Also because it didn't pivot, it wasn't able to cool all 4 of us. It was slightly broken too as it kept tilting towards the ceiling/pointing straight up. I kept trying to ask staff if there was any way to contact head office such as phone number or email but they said the emails had to go through them first and then they send it to head office. Again, with no surprise, head office said I needed to file a complaint through booking.com and they weren't able to do anything about it. To top it off, went to use the showers and they are either just straight cold or the temperature is temperamental and doesn't stay consistent/changes from hot to cold. There were also a bunch of stains on the duvets and sofa chairs in the room. I have honestly never stayed somewhere so horribly managed and dirty. The only thing good is the location/how close is it to the city but definitely not somewhere you would want to ever stay. Plenty of other options with a great location. 0/10 would not recommend.

One of the female supervisors had me formally banned after my daughter hurt herself. I asked for a first aid kit and she came back with 2 bandaids. She then accused me of refusing to give my daughter medical assistance. DO NOT GO HERE.
