The service at Goldfields Motel is 5-star! My friend and I were stranded in Stawell late at night, and I was thankful to find that Goldfields Motel offer a 24 hour reception/booking service if they have vacancy. I called at 11pm at night, and they answered the phone after a few rings. I explained our situation, and the Manager quickly booked us a room and gave me the details to check-in when we arrived. I was so grateful! The motel was next to the highway, but I used a white noise ap on my phone to cover the truck noise and got to sleep. The bed was huge and comfortable, and the room was renovated and very comfortable. Thank you so much!

We booked 2 rooms. 1 room was well with facilities. However, another room has no facilities like no microwave , the bathroom door was broken and there was no milk in fridge. They charged exact same amount for both the rooms. We didnt raised this as we ignored thinking we are on vacation and the one room still have the facilities.

What happens next shocked me. The manager deducted $40 after we left the motel.
Manager called me saying as we checked out 1 hour late the charge applies. I had no issues with that but they should have mentioned this before.
While we were doing checkout the cleaner was there and still she havent mentioned anything that we need to hurry up and have to vacant else the charges will apply.

When we return the keys the cleaner smiled and said thank you till that point she havent informed that we are late and $20 per room per hour rate applies.

We have been to many hotels and there is always a flexibility of 30-45 mins and if not they inform us that charges applies.

We have paid $660 for 2 nights and we have no dramas of paying extra $40 but the only thing made me so upset and unhappy that this money was charged out of our information and after we left the property deducted very smartly.

Very very ridiculous attitude from the motel manager.

Nice motel, no staff on site. Room clean and well appointed. Quiet given proximity to highway. No food or drinks on site. Local food wasn't too bad and well priced.

Regularly stay here for work, friendly and super helpful staff, great meals you can order at the front desk. Rooms are always clean and tidy, I always have a great night's sleep!! Affordable prices with exceptional service.

I was expecting a very basic room because it’s an affordable motel. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised. The room was big, spotlessly clean and well decorated. Attention to detail was obvious from the minute we entered. We will definitely stay there again and highly recommend it . Traffic noise is of course an issue because it’s a main freeway. |Accommodating staff makes a big difference.

An excellent motel, with supplies (Soap, Shampoo, etcetera) you will need, even if you forgot it. The beds are very comfortable and you can add an extra bed for not too much more. The bathroom is very well designed. The wardrobes are tidy and even have an ironing board (ask reception for it). Friendly and helpful staff!

Situated on the main road through Stawell you do get a lot of truck noise. Room was very clean and staff great to deal with. Very basic accommodation but you get what you pay for. Internet kept buffering, so it took me 50% longer to watch tv shows online. Heater in room was old and took a long time to heat the room up. Bed had an electric blanket thankfully, as bed only had a blanket on it, no doona, and even with the extra blanket doubled over from the cupboard I only just felt warm enough during the night. Restaurant was meant to reopen after refurbishments in Feb but still wasn't. Got the impression it never did. Breakfast is available but the continental products were very pricey at $5 for a juice or yoghurt (which was out of date by a week), or $5.50 for a cereal - this was the most expensive prices I have seen for these items, and I have stayed at a lot of hotels/motels in the last year. Better off to get a hot breakfast for $10, but don't know how big it was. Got stuck down the end with road (?) workers who got up at 6am and sat outside their rooms chatting. I left at 8am and they were still going...
