I recently booked a food and wine bus tour for my hen’s party with Gold Coast Wine Tours and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! I was referred to this company by clients who have used them multiple times, and now I understand why. Jim and the team had fantastic communication from start to finish, making the planning process so easy. They took us to the best locations around the Gold Coast, including the beautiful Tamborine Mountain and its surrounds. Every venue was well thought out, the food was delicious and we got to embrace and sample what the best local hidden hot spots had to offer - we certainly got dropped home very happy and content!
The tour was well-organised, they were incredibly accommodating to all our needs. It was clear that they genuinely cared about making our day special. We had the best day ever, and I can’t thank them enough. I highly recommend their services and would definitely use them again. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

We had a lovely day out, Trish our guide was amazing and informative about the area. The locations were beautiful, the wines and food were superb. Jim was very accommodating in booking a suitable day, the booking from start to finish was amazing, highly recommend, we will book again.

Communication could be a bit better. Our group was getting picked up from multiple locations. The one I was going to pick got scrapped the last minute a couple hours before the pick up. But it was added back in for me so I'm super grateful.

There was also some confusion at the pick up spot. But I could have called the driver instead of emailing the owner, so maybe that one's on me. We got there in the end.

Our driver (Ian) was awesome. We all loved him. Super nice man, and he offered to take photos of our group and send to us.

We started at Cedar Creek Estate and where they had us seated was waaay too small for our group. That was a bit of a negative first impression, but the people who did our tastings were great so made up for it. Also, what happens at the venues isn't really in the hands of Gold Coast Wine Tours. But they do pick the venues.

We got 10% off and I was happy to purchase some tasty wines that were made locally. Just sucked how commercial it felt, but that must just be how things are. I can't imagine it's easy for them. But overall a great first stop on our tour.

Jim also showed up and introduced himself. It was a nice personal touch.

Second stop was Bush Turkey Bistro with Sirromet wines. We were blessed with good weather so this was a nice stop even though the place was short staffed and our poor driver, Ian, had to do the wine selection and pouring for us. So major props to him there!

We then went to lunch at Wolf restaurant. The food was well presented and tasty, but tiny portions that cost too much as you would expect in a fancy restaurant. We got significantly delayed here and I'm not sure that the place is worth the price. But again out of the tour company's control. I don't have much experience with the fancier restaurants on Mt Tamborine. But if I could choose I'd opt for more cheese / fruit pairings with the tastings, rather than this restaurant.

Our last stop was Cauldron Distillery. Quite packed, stuff took too long to come out, not sure that the dips were worth it either but 5 of us shared dips and cheeseboard so it wasn't too bad. A bit disappointed they didn't pair gins with different tonic waters and nibbles. But the time I did a gin tasting like that it was hella expensive. The atmosphere ended up being quite lovely. Open field, slowly setting sun, live music. Our significant delay had its perks! Tasty cocktails here too.

Not Ian's fault we were running late, but he gave us extra time to finish what we had ordered without being too rushed, so that was nice.

I should add the van is super comfortable and a lovely ride. Ian also had an esky for us to put any purchased wine in.

6 of our group have already booked our next tour with Gold Coast Wine Tours.

We had a great day on the GC Wine Tour doing the Hi-Tea Cocktail Tour. Jim was awesome. From the communication and planning of our tour. to the minute he picked us up from the accommodation & he on time. We enjoy the 3 locations that he took us to & the Hi-Tea lunch was amazing. Overall the experience was 5 stars. Highly recommended ☆☆☆☆☆
