Post Trip Review:
After our 14 days self drive tour of NZ South Island planned with Go New Zealand, would like to add the following comments:
- all hotels assigned were excellent, commensurate with the price we paid. Foremost locations were ideal, convenient and comfortable.
- rental cars assigned were in good order and comfortable. Go NZ ensured we had a comprehensive vehicle insurance policy.
- the travel App provided was very useful and handy. In Country support was impeccable - Messaging via the App was convenient and response was prompt and attentive. Kudos to the NZTD team esp Tia.
- necessary changes to our itinerary due to weather conditions was promptly handled, and with no extra costs!.
- we thoroughly enjoyed our tour of NZ South Island, ate all the best savoury pies (highly recommend Fat Bastered Pies at Invercargill), freshest of oyster at Bluff, tastiest burgers at FergBurger, crispiest fish and chips and freshest crayfish at Kaikoura, and a sumptuous buffet spread at the Alpine Restaurant, The Hermitage Hotel Mt Cook and a diverse palate ranging from Chinese, Italian , New Zealand Cafes offerings.
- Autumn is definitely the best season to visit South Island.
We would highly recommend anyone planning to visit NZ South Island to engage Go New Zealand in planning their dream trip. We had the best experience and bringing home wonderful memories of the places we visited. Many thanks again to team Go NZ and NZTD.

It was by chance that we reached out to Go New Zealand post MCO intending to plan a self drive tour of NZ South Island. Jennifer Obenza, the rep from Go NZ, was most courteous and helpful in crafting an itinerary for us. Even when we deferred the trip to 2 years later to Apr 2024, Jennifer was most understanding and helpful in arranging all the itinerary. Payment was smooth, convenient and safe. After a period of planning that took 8 months, the 6 of us are incredibly excited to realise our dreams of visiting NZ South Island next week. Much thanks to Go New Zealand and in particular , Jennifer, for making our trip possible.

Have to give Go N.Z the highest rating. Everything they organised for our 19 day trip to north and south islands of New Zealand was excellent. The hotels were of the highest standard and all booked for on the days we arrived. The various tours were the same. Any contacts we had to initiate were answered promptly and accurately. Cannot rate them highly enough! Well done Go NewZealand.
