Stayed here for 2 nights on a recent business trip to Gladstone. My room was modern, clean and everything that you would expect. Internet worked well. Had dinner both nights in the restaurant. Meals came out quickly. Staff were very friendly. Steak was cooked to perfection.

Event - 80 People,
Harbour Room is a great space with its own bar and dance floor. There is availability for bar tables and dining tables. Unfortunately the service received from the Reefs event manger (or lack there of) has been disappointing. Initially very difficult to get hold of the event manager, who never calls back and rarely replied to emails. She also forgot we had planned a meeting to view the room and we got there to find her playing pool while we waited to meet with her at our agreed time. Then a couple weeks leading to the event we had emailed 3 or 4 times in the month with no replies. When calling we found out there was no longer an event manager and they "couldn't access the event email". Via phone, in person and via email I provided details for the event, inc 78 people to be catered for and 7 tables to be set up with table clothes. We agreed to meet the temporary event manager at 10am on the day, to find she was not coming until 4pm and all staff on had no knowledge of our event that day. Only 3 tables available with no table clothes. Our friends and family pulled the venues tables out of the cupboard and set up themselves with no even manager. During the event there was only one (amazing) bar tender for an 80 person event who unfortunately couldn't do mixed shots or cocktails due to there only being one bar tender for our event. We paid $780 (paid per head) for a food platter that was mainly cheese, meat and maybe 1 packet of crackers, certainly not enough for our group size. There were no plates or knives to cut the cheese provided, until we went up stairs to request some (at that stage people had already started using hands). The event space was amazing, the bar tender was friendly but overworked, and our friends/family did an amazing job of the set up. But overall extremely disappointed with the service. It's okay for a space hire, but definitely not event hire that they advertise to be (and what you pay for).

I was dropped of here to wait for a mechanic to service a car. I won $30 bucks on the pokies and got myself a meal of barramundi, salad and chips for $21 and a beer for $8. Perfect place to stare over the balcony at the river if you don't feel like gambling or drinking heavy. Place was busy for a week day, but not too busy. Good food, cold drinks, friendly staff, great atmosphere. Enjoyed myself.

The team at the Gladstone Reef Hotel are great. I stay here often on business and sometimes have to extend due to the nature of my work. They are most helpful even when they are busy. The team in the restaurant are always helpful and the food is great if a little too much at times. Tonight we had Ashton and Ford at the bar and tables. Super efficient as usual. I would be remiss not to mention the ladies who clean the rooms and the reception staff. I sadly cant remember their names but the are super helpful. Thanks.

Clean and comfortable room, bar and restaurant area was spacious and well set up, food was plentiful and good. Beer was cold! Lots of parking on site.|Check in was quick and straightforward, as was check out the following morning.|No complaints, would definitely stay again.

Staff and service were friendly and professional. Food was good and delicious. Views are nice. Restaurant was nice. Prices were reasonable for food and drinks.

Stayed one night for business. Quiet airconditioning. Plenty of hot water. Large rooms. Comfortable bed. Very central and a roof top bar where about 40 of us met for our Christmas party. The view from there was sensational. Especially when the lights all came on after sunset.

The pub itself is great... the parmies are highly recommended.
The rooms are clean and if you can, get the harbour view.
A little noisy from outside.
The only disappointment was, I was charged for a meal to my room which I never ordered. The communication was pretty bad as I called and said this is a mistake, sure they will call me back. Nope 3 days later and a few calls that finally came to the agreement that is was a mistake from the bar staff. I suggest training your staff a little better.
All in all the location us central, easy stroll to the yacht club and other areas.
