It's a lovely ride offering nice views especially at sunset (when it's open). It can get quite busy during hot days and peak tourist seasons, so plan accordingly. However, the recent ticket price increases are a bit steep. Despite that, the experience remains enjoyable and worth a visit whenever we have visitors.

Giant Sky Wheel – Geelong Waterfront
What a fantastic day out at the Geelong Waterfront! The Giant Sky Wheel offers breathtaking views of the coastline and city—absolutely worth it. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

We were lucky to pick a perfect day for a picnic with our families. There are plenty of food options nearby, from cosy cafés to refreshing ice cream stands. The area is well set up with green spaces, benches, and picnic tables, making it ideal for relaxing outdoors.

The beach is just a few steps away, along with walking paths and water activities for all ages. Parking was easy and there was plenty of it.

We loved everything about it—highly recommended for families or anyone looking to unwind by the water!

Great ride to see the panoramic views of Geelong. Fair price of 11$ to have multiple spins the wheel. Was lucky enough to come here when it’s empty. Give this place a try.

Giant Sky Wheel in Geelong is a must go place if you are touring Geelong. You will be amazed with the scenery you get to witness during the ride. It is reasonably priced and you will get to go on for several rounds for approximately 5-10 minutes.
PS: for better experience, I would recommend to go on a sunny day.

100% worth a visit. The views are amazing. We went around 9 times (my son was counting) which is not bad for $11 per person. Bring a jacket as it can get chilly up the top.

Good price for a family of 4 considering the thrill the kids get! The wheel turned fairly rapidly and the views were great even on a cold winters night. We may have just gotten lucky but the kids were very surprised by the number of times that they went around, which we counted at approx 10 times. Staff were courteous and ensured we didn't bump our heads on entry/exit. Thanks for providing a wonderful family experience.

Open air Ferris wheel in the heart of Eastern Beach that lasts around 8 mins and is an adrenalin kick especially for people who have a fear of heights. It is absolutely fun when it speeds up as well and the whole rotation lasts around 50 seconds.
