Jake, Alicia and Kim thank you we had a fantastic time sifting and sorting through the bucket of rocks. Jake you are an absolute legend, explaining all about where the rocks come from, how to sifting and wash then sort and find the gems.
Definitely go and see them if you are in Sapphire.

What a cracking morning! We where met by Jake when we entered who taught us a heap we needed to know and helped us sort our 3 buckets.... they where friendly, well versed in their trade and helpful... definitely a must do stop to visit while in the gemfields! Thanks for an awesome morning!

We went to the Gemfields Fossicking Park and my son loved it so much that we went back again the next day on his birthday.

Jake and his family are so helpful , patient and welcoming we had such a good time fossicking for gems.

They have such a great set up , everything is clean and organised and its also so peaceful there . Such a wonderful experience.

The Family that run this goes above and beyond and have a great passion and knowledge for fossicking which they love to share .

We went to few places in the gemfields for fossickling but this was by far the best value and experience as not only did we find a few treasures but we had a such good time and felt so welcomed .

I would highly recommend visting . Jake and all his fanily are truly amazing.

We’re from Victoria and had been planning our visit to the Gemfields area for ages, and it was absolutely worth the wait! The family who runs the Gemfields Fossicking Park is so lovely, friendly, and super helpful. They gave us all the tips and advice we needed, and their enthusiasm for fossicking made the experience even better. The price for a bucket of dirt was great value, and we couldn’t believe our luck – the three of us found loads of sapphires and zircons! The highlight was a yellow sapphire that’s big enough to facet, along with a few other stones that are also large enough facet. Everyone we met in the area was so welcoming and helpful, which made the whole trip even more enjoyable. We’re already planning to come back and try our luck again – and to explore more of this beautiful region. If you’ve ever thought about fossicking, give this place a go. You won’t regret it!

My wife and I had an awesome afternoon fossicking for sapphires under the friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable guidance of Jake. We purchased one bucket of “wash” for $25 and were very successful in finding sapphires, even a rare white one. If you are looking for a great time and value for money we cannot recommend this place highly enough!!

We really enjoyed our fossicking experience here. One of the few places that was open after midday! Since we had arrived then & were moving on the next morning this suited us & we were so glad they were open! The equipment was well set out & we were shown step by step what to do. We weren't expecting to find any gems but we found lots of little ones. The kids were stoked! Definitely recommend. We paid $50 for 3 tubs which was more than enough for 2A+2C. Was quite hot at midday in late April but you need to work in the sun to see the glint of the gems! So make sure to have hats, water & sunscreen!
