Our guide for the tour was very knowledgeable about the gaol’s history, both human and ghostly! He himself was an inmate of the prison after all. He did an excellent job leading us all around in the dark, didn’t lose a single participant 😉

The tour covers a large area of the gaol, across all three levels. Even though the gaol is so close to the activity of the adjacent hospital and streets, you do feel very isolated inside the walls. I did not notice very much noise from outside at all during our tour.

A very interesting and fun tour, will definitely go back for the paranormal investigation option!

We had a great spooky experience we took my teen son and friends for a night out and it didn’t disappoint, we heard things , we felt things and we saw things , not sure if was everything part of the experience of it was for real either way great experience.

For those wishing to go further i cannot recommend the late night paranormal tour as well. Just ..." be prepared " for what or whom you encounter.

Jose was wonderful and very knowledgeable! We learned about the paranormal equipment and then were able to use it. He went above and beyond to give us time to roam and use the equipment. We heard the whip go twice, a door suddenly closed, heard messages. In solitary confinement, the music box was activated. We then felt a drop in temperature which set off dust and possible orbs seen in our video recording. We really appreciated that Jose was upfront and would tell us when there were any false-positives. We also love his passion and it really shows.

I’m a paranormal investigator and also run a ghost tour business myself, and I must say, it was a fantastic night! The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and added a whole new dimension to the experience by staying in character as a prison guard. It truly brought the history and atmosphere of the location to life. Highly recommend!

We did the 8pm tour tonight with (I think it was Annie) I’m sorry my memory is shocking! She was amazing! Apparently it was her first tour but we would never have known! Super knowledgeable, and very supportive of me being a chicken! Highly recommend ☺️

Very interesting and spooky experience. Loved our guide and could tell that he was very passionate about his job. Shame that on our tour we had two very disruptive groups (one had to be removed) which ruined the experience for us. But all in all we had a good time.
