Stay away from Gaura Travel

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Gaura Travel. I paid for my air tickets well in advance, but when it came time for my travel, they had still not issued the tickets. This left me in a completely stressful and frustrating situation, with no tickets and no way to proceed with my trip.

Despite having fully paid, Gaura Travel failed to deliver the tickets on time, and their lack of communication made things worse. I had no updates or responses from their team, and it ruined my entire travel plan. This is an incredibly unprofessional and unreliable service, and I strongly advise against using Gaura Travel for any of your travel bookings.

Save yourself the stress and disappointment – look elsewhere for a more trustworthy and responsible service.

I wish I could give 0 or negative stars but this is the least that I can.

Avoid this company like plague. They are the most untrustworthy and unreliable company non-existent customer service. I have ever dealt with. I am surprised that they have not yet been caught out by the authorities and are still in business.

I am sure you can see why I gave them the rating that I have.

We booked a flight with them in November 2024. As required, the booking confirmation payment equal to 5% of the fare was paid using my credit card, no issues.

The remainder of the payment was made to an account number provided to me by them. This payment was supposedly held back by the bank for 24 hours. Later, the bank confirmed that the payment was duly cleared the same day within 7 minutes. However, to ensure that the booking could be confirmed, they asked us to make another payment, which we did in good faith, on the assurance given by them that the amount made on the earlier payment would be refunded to me once an application for refund was made on their portal.

To this day, five (5) months after the initial transaction, by which time I have already two (2) applications for 'Request for Refund' but I have not been given my refund.

They still claim that the money has not been received - which is a blatant lie as I did provide the transaction details to them as well as provided by my bank.

In my view, this is a diabolically bad, fraudulent, dodgy, unreliable and untrustworthy business to deal with totally morally bankrupt and entirely devoid of all business ethics. Check other reviews and you'd find that this isn't an isolated case. This is how they seemingly operate.

I have lodged a formal complaint against them with Consumer Affairs Victoria and they have assured me that their investigative team will be dealing with them. I am hopeful that I get my money back and this business is appropriately punished for bad business practices with substantive punitive damages to avoid a recurrence of such activities with other potential customers.

Edit : Following my complaint to Consumer Affairs Victoria, I have been refunded the money they owed me, but I am dead certain, had I not done so, there was no way they would have refunded me the money.

I recently contacted customer care to inquire about flight prices. The agent quoted me a price that matched what I found on the airline's website. When I asked if there were any better options, the agent responded by suggesting that I cancel my travel plans if I expected to book flights at that price. I was extremely upset by this unprofessional response and ended the call. I strongly recommend that your customer care team receive better training on how to communicate with customers respectfully. No one is begging you to book tickets.

A Complete Scam – Avoid at All Costs!**

I am absolutely appalled by the unprofessional and fraudulent behavior of this travel company. We paid them the full amount in advance for our air tickets, trusting that they would handle everything as promised. However, on the day of our travel, we were shocked to discover that no tickets had been issued. We were left stranded at the airport with no choice but to pay for our tickets again out of our own pockets.

This company is a complete scam. They took our money, provided no service, and left us in a highly stressful and inconvenient situation. Their lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable. We tried reaching out to them multiple times, but they either ignored us or gave us false assurances.

I strongly advise everyone to STAY AWAY from this company. Do not make the same mistake we did. There are plenty of reliable travel agencies out there – this is not one of them. Save yourself the hassle, stress, and money by avoiding this fraudulent operation.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This experience has been a nightmare, and I hope no one else has to go through the same.

Over charge for everything, even the window seats.
If you’re changing the dates $500 dollars extra.
I’ve paid and I got told $250 for window seats.
Never 👎 coming back to this scam again.

Dodgy and deceiving travel agents.

As I keep getting emails of their offers, I decided to call them and then the person on the call inspite I specifically asking to confirm if I pay full I will get my ticket immediately, keep deflecting and saying let's get booking sorted and then we can get your ticket issuing sorted. They make me pay $5 deposit and send me flight details and said u need to confirm it by paying in full in 4 days. At that time, I asked them again to confirm when I will get ticket. The person for the first time then started saying only 7 days before departure. I told him, that is not acceptable and I was very clear hat I need ticket immediately after paying in full, and you had plenty of opportunity to say that will not be possible, rather than wasting my time and making me pay $5 deposit. $5 is not important here, it is lack of honesty and evident intention to misguide. He then said, as you insisted you need ticket straight away, call our ticketing team tomorrow they will help you. Next day, I called, then I was told I was offered the price of group booking and they can't issue ticket 7 days before departure (ie 7 months from now). On my insistence, that i was very clear from beginning that I need ticket straight away, they offered me the same ticket at a very high price (higher than what is available @ Sing air website), which I said no too. Then they started preaching me about group booking etc, to which i said too late, saying me all this after the fact is of no use. Complete waste of time.

I then ask them as they were not honest from beginning to arrange to return my deposit, which they said they will come back, obviously never heard back from them.

Overall, very deceiving travel agent. Whatever they are doing, need to be honest in explaining it to customers upfront. And how they can take full money from customers and keep to themselves and only pass on airlines just 7 days before departure? I also have read horror stories of people on google reviews, who discovered no ticket was issued even on travel date and not interested to keep that risk for elderly passenger i was buying ticket for.

Will not buy or deal with this agency again. All their promotional emails are unsubscribed and gone to spam

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with a recent change to my flight schedule. I had booked a flight with gaura travel but I was recently informed that the flight schedule has been altered without adequate notice and flight is 4 days early from original time.This change has caused significant inconvenience to me, as I had already made arrangements around the original flight time. I am disappointed that I was not given enough advance notice of the schedule change, nor were there alternative solutions offered that would work with my plans. Big scam

Really really unhappy with Gaura Travels way of managing air tickets. Its all hard earned money, paid to them premium price for my parents travel n 3 days later they are still saying they can’t see our payment made. It’s my elderly parents travelling so I m extra worried. All staff repeatedly saying mam reach out to your bank. No payment pending on my end and bank confirmed it’s released into their Cuscal bank account. Shittiest service n they are making my entire booking experience as a nightmare. Totally whoever wants to have a peaceful experience just please book with any website or anywhere not with these guys. Zero customer service n respect for customers time. I am questioning my own self now why even I went to them. Big thumbs down team. Worst place ever for flight tickets. Really bad job you guys do.
