I don't understand why this place have such a high google rating. My partner and I went here for breakfast on a Saturday.

Luckily we got seated quickly despite having no bookings.

Coffee order came quickly. The coffee was good.

It took them forever to come back to get our food order. And the food took a long time to come out.

The food description sounded nice, the food looked pretty, but the serving was so small and tasteless.

We paid over $90 for breakfast for two. That included 10% weekend surcharge. What a total rip off.

Trying to be uparket, but it didn't meet the mark.

We went there for brunch on a weekend. Place was pretty busy, but we got a seat right after we walked in. The ambiance is really nice, we got served as soon as we had our table.
They have a limited menu. Didn’t have to wait long for the food, however the portions did feel small.
Overall a decent experience.

Feel bad rating this place as average when it has so much potential. Only reason it's 3 stars is because nothing stood out in the dish or drinks i ordered. Spent about $50 which is quite on the high end for a solo brunch. Think the 10% weekend surcharge is ok if food and service was above standard.

All style, no substance - great atmosphere, trendy interior. Unfortunately the food on offer did not live up to the decor. We ordered Turkish eggs, a cheese and tomato croissant, mud cake and two coffees. The Turkish eggs were good. Coffee not bad. Croissant was served warm but cheese not fully melted. Mudcake was very dry, bordering on stale. Queried with staff, they agreed it was not up to scratch and removed from bill. $50 for the rest and can't say I would be willing to spend again. Staff were very nice though and the place had good vibes.

Really nice place with good food. I was visiting canberra for the first time and this is definitely a great place to go for breakfast and brunch. The staff are friendly and flexible with food modifications - such as asking to make things vegetarian.
Food was good (nicely styled) and the layout of the cafe was nice and spacious.

After eating out every meal for the last couple of days before this, we wanted something more wholesome, clean, comforting and it was great to see non-bread based options here. We had duck salad, goat curry and the kids meals. Even though the duck was a tad dry, the salad helped balance with crunch, juice and dressing. The kids meal had their favourites: avo, hash browns and a poached egg. Cold brew and an iced chai were ideal for the warmer Canberran day. Service was helpful, and the decor in the private dining room is stunning.

Second time trying this cafe & there won’t be a third.
The flavours of both our meals were average the coffee was decent but the taste that the bill left in my mouth was god awful.
A coffee a chai
A brisket egg roll
& a built breakfast of a pice of sour dough that was rock hard two eggs bacon avocado haloumi .
Total $80 😳
That’s probably the most expensive average breakfast I’ve eaten.
We don’t mind paying for good food but that’s ridiculous.

Ordered the smoked trout hash and smavocado, both were good! But nothing amazingly special flavour wise. Food presentation can be improved especially since the avocado just had a bed of arugula covering everything. Staff were kind and the environment had a cosy feel to it. ᵕ̈
