Great spot for walking to shops. Great selection of places to eat. Plenty of history and several wineries close by. Comfortable accommodation set in lovely gardens. Great hosts.

What a wonderful B&B and such gracious hosts! Being of UK descent our hosts styled their accommodation on classic English decor which we loved! Great location , super clean Stables guest accom, self cooked bacon & egg brekky and even a small bottle of port! Highly recommended and so close to historical Strathalbyn main streets.

Best stay ever! Congenial and helpful hosts, lovely characterful cottage fitted with everything you need including the kitchen, fridge and cupboards stocked with yummy goodies including fresh eggs, bacon, tomato and bread for breakfast (which we ate outside overlooking the gardens. Tim tams for snacking, fresh milk, nothing but for several days of great breakfasts. Quality body wash etc in the bathroom and lush towels, super comfy bed with electric blankets. Hmm, don’t think we’ll leave.

My husband and I visited the Gasworks in April and stayed in the Garden Cottage and had the most wonderful time for a week.
What can I say about the property except WOW, WOW, WOW.
They have thought of all the things, even the little things you would need for your home away from home. It was great to relax take a stroll through the gardens while sipping a freshly brewed cup of coffee we made. You are so close to so many wonderful places to visit while on your stay here, my husband can highly recommend the bakery which just so happens to be across the road.
We loved it and look forward to coming again, thanks Heather and Graham for making our stay so enjoyable.

Heather and Graham operate a high functioning b and b set amidst lush and expansive grounds with its own meandering creek We chose to stay in the one bedroom Stables Cottage comprising quaint and romantic features of yesteryear with extras to make our stay that more special. Clean, quiet and comfy with excellent block out drapes that worked well in conjunction with pretty lace blinds. Light and airy with a private patio from which to sit and read if you decided not to chose the garden. So much to do in the cottage you need never leave. A must visit.

What a wonderful tranquil safe haven we found  in the well appointed cosy Stables cottage. Rich in history and nestled in the vast manicured gardens complete with many quirky touches and even fairy lights.
Our 2 nights were perfect for our first solo getaway from our children.
Hosts Heather and Graham were most welcoming, helpful and provided everything we could possibly need and more.
We couldn't recommend this beautiful place highly enough and will definitely be back!!
