The room was clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable with an electric blanket. All the comforts of home for on our stop over from Sydney to Melbourne. Staff was very friendly, and a complimentary breakfast made the first day of our winter journey all the more enjoyable. Would highly recommend this lodge. Beautiful gardens so well kept. It's a great place to stay.

Lovely staff that go above and beyond, beautiful well kept garden grounds and the continental breakfast had a variety of breads including gluten free if anyone is a coeliac. Super warm and clean rooms, plenty of extra blankets! Water, tea, coffee and biscuits were perfect. We stayed where the charming little wishing well was and made a wish before we left. Thank you for a welcoming and warm stay! 😊😊😊

Disappointing Stay - Unpleasant Room and Poor Customer Service

We stayed in one of the motel's budget rooms, fully aware that we shouldn't expect luxury--but even with modest expectations, our experience was deeply disappointing.

We booked a budget room over the Easter weekend and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. The room had a terrible smell--like a mix of cigarette smoke and mould
--that hit us as soon as we walked in. The bathroom was extremely small and outdated, with cracked tiles and visible
black mould, which was pretty concerning from a hygiene and health perspective. The air quality in the room was so poor that we felt nauseated and unwell after a few hours of stay. We had to cut our stay short -- leaving at 2am to sleep
in the car -- for the sake of our health.

We raised these issues with reception, hoping they might offer a solution or at least express some concern, but their attitude was surprisingly dismissive. It felt like they
expected us to accept these conditions simply because it was a budget room, which is unacceptable. Regardless of the price point, a room should be clean and safe to stay in.

We understand it was a busy Easter weekend and they were fully booked, so there were no other rooms available to move us to. But what really stood out was their lack of basic customer service--no apology, no real attempt to make things right beyond eventually refunding us for the remaining days of our booked stay.

Overall, while we appreciate the refund, the situation could have been handled much better. Customer service was sorely lacking and the condition of the room should never have been considered acceptable to begin with.

Absolutely loved the quiet and cleanliness.
Cleaners attend to your room everyday and they go over and above to accommodate your needs. Owners Greg and Kathy are the loveliest people. Great accommodation for a very reasonable price.

Stayed in a studio villa on the June Long weekend.|Check-in was nice and easy with friendly staff explaining everything.|Room and private bathroom were extremely clean. |Reverse cycle aircon worked well to keep the villa nice and warm on a cold weekend.|As an added bonus the bed also had electric blankets for a nice toasty sleep.||The light continental breakfast (breads, cereals, etc) was excellent considering it was included in the accommodation price.||Overall ....... warm, comfortable, clean accommodation at a good price.|Thanks to the housekeeping staff for the cleanliness.||Will definitely go back again when in the area.

I have stayed at the Gardenview Lodge on several occasions over the last couple of years. It’s my favourite place and I honestly don’t look at any other place to stay. The people there are so super friendly, always accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms have everything you could need and very spacious. Bed is super comfy. There is parking right next to your cabin and a great outside deck to sit out side and relax. Great pool for the warmer months when we stay and a bbq area. Breakfast is included so great value for money.

Booked a budget room & it was bloody fantastic, comfortable bed, great TV, super super clean & the cutest retro pink ensuite ever (never change the pink)!
The cleaning staff & the guy on reception are super nice. We will be back again that’s for sure.

Amazing facilities
Got there and booked a budget room, realised it was too small for us, the receptionist helped us upgrade. Amazing 2 bedroom unit, everything you needed.
The extra little touches like making bed daily, smelly thing, fly spray and breakfast just made it that more special.
100% would recommend
