Well I stopped in for lunch and found the newly renovated pub in good shape but could do with some more art. But very tasteful in the way they renovated it.
I had the veal schnitzel with cheese and Neapolitan sauce. Fantastic.
The veal was amazing and the crumb was great. Not heavy just good.
I think the cheese was provolone and the sauce was house made and had good flavour to it. ( all gone).
The chips were great I just put a little bit more salt on them. Gold.
The salad great. So much of it and the dressing was wonderful with plenty of it all over. ( this is in my top 3 schnitzels ).
5 out of 5 plates cleaned.

Ordered a spice bag. Never had one before. Didn't enjoy it. Not sure if they all taste like this but the chicken was dry and overcooked. Didn't enjoy the chips or veg either. Curry sauce was ok.

I had the rump steak and salad and chips 🍟 plus a beer 🍺 I waited for the lunch crowd to finish before taking photos 📸 the service was quick and the staff were were friendly 👌 even the resident Cockatoo was friendly.
This pub is a
Colourful old-school pub with a bistro menu, plus vintage signs, hanging kayaks and a live cockatoo. They have arcade games. There are no poker machines. The atmosphere is great . I enjoyed the food 😋
Has rooftop seating Has outdoor seating Has live music. I highly recommend this pub. It's temporary closed for renovations

Retro pub really good for meeting friends. Has lots of character. Has some really hearty and great tasting and well priced meals. All meals basically range from $15 to $20 and are large, fresh and made to order. Burgers, schnitzels, lasagna, meatballs, amazing shoe string fries, etc. Weeknight specials as well. Georgie the cockatoo who lives in the pub is a real hoot. Well worth visiting this Glebe gem.

Not the cluttered, old pub that I fondly remembered. Screens in every view and the place has been refurbished, nice toilets, pretty average beers and not a lot of character anymore. Shame.

This has a good neighborhood vibe. We were there for the comedy night & it offers up a broad range of comics. Love Tommy Dean. The food was good if not great. Wood definitely come back.

Love this Glebe Gem. It is an ecclectic mix of stuff, including a Live Cockatoo.
New restaurant called Fork In Hand. Great food good value
Sunday evening raffle is an experience with all proceeds going to local Glebe Public School. Live band and plenty of characters.
A must visit.
Sunday roast is back at just $15
Kid friendly.
