A very well organised small group tour. Though the tour was only 12 days duration it lived up to its name, A Taste of France, giving us a real experience of the unique qualities of different regions. Our guide Michel passionately shared his comprehensive knowledge of history, architecture and culture which enhanced our overall experience. This was particularly evident when we were in his home town of Avignon, where we were privileged to a less touristy and more intimate tour of the city. Throughout the tour Michel kindly accommodated our needs and special requests where feasible. If you are looking for an overview of France, this is the tour for you.

I had a wonderful time with Delphine from France Travel Solutions on the Jewels of the North tour. Delphine is a lovely, kind, friendly and generous guide. She went above and beyond in making sure me all had a fabulous trip. I would definitely recommend France Travel Solutions to anyone, especially to those people who like to travel in a small group.

The lovely driver 73 with his Architectural knowledge did his best considering he had never been a tour guide or driven a manual van. The van was too big for the hotel so he had to park it half way across Paris. It was uncomfortable for tall people getting in, pushing the seat forward.
The accommodation and wine trips were fine.
Breakfast at the pension started too late for our schedule and the last paid meal consisted of bread and cheese and a small piece of pie.
The oyster trip for me was fine. The people not eating seafood only had a piece of bread to eat!
Going through France buying sandwiches at servos especially the 10hr stint in the bus was not my idea of a memorable holiday.
The driver had not been to the places before but luckily a couple of the passengers had been before so could help with the suggestions .
Meals at night with untested venues turned how expensive and poor.The black chicken was memorable!!!!!!
Dont bother with the longest shopping mall in Europe its just H and M and shops we have in Australia. It would have been nice if just a couple of artisan markets were somewhere in the schedule.
The guide had extensive knowledge of churches if that your thing.
More attention to detail was needed especially going in and out of the horrendous traffic in Paris twice. We should have moved on to the next place.

We had a wonderful jewels of the North trip in late September. Our small group was guided by Delphine. From our first meeting and dinner in Paris to our last in Dinan, Delphine made sure that we experienced as much as we could in the time we had.
If you are looking for a small group tour taking in Normandy and Brittany then we can highly recommend this trip.
The Itinerary was well planned and Delphine made sure that everyone had a great experience.
The pace was relaxed but we saw a lot with our patient guide who had so much information about the North to share.
She brought the Jewels Of The North alive for us, making our experience authentic.
We recommend France Travel Solutions Jewels of the North trip to everyone.

This was the first time I had been to France. It was a bit daunting as I can't speak the local language, other than the very basics. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip with Maud. I learned so much about wine and the making of it and we visited some very interesting places. I would recommend this trip to anyone who is interested in France and wine. In saying that I'm not a big drinker, so don't think it's just a wine tour its more than that, you will visit interesting places and see some great castles and villages along the way. Maud will also make a detour if people are happy to try something else. Some of the days were very long, but we were the first on this tour and there is some tweaking to do. Which Maud will do. I look forward to another trip again with Maud.
