😊: It was nice and cosy and quiet. The bathroom was very unique and I like the quirky design of the cottage..
😢: It’s really dusty and needs a really good clean. The place seems a little run down, the privacy fence between us and the next cottage had fallen down. It’s also quite hard to find your room. Could do with some better signage and lighting..

Absolutely loved the outdoors hot tub!.
😢: Nothing . Secluded and private so no views from inside but the hot tub under the stars and the scenery as soon as you walk outside is fabulous..

We love coming here lovely accommodation always cosy and romantic the Rose 🌹 cottage. Love the way cottage is set out comfy bed. Highly recommend for sure if you want to visit local sites at warburton plenty of friendly places to check out. Hostess is super nice always available.

Upon arrival, the owner did not allow me to check in. She explained that one part of the house was already occupied by another guest. The Water Cottage, which was part of my original booking for eight people, had been given to someone else. We were forced to wait outside for nearly two hours until she finally allowed us to use a portion of the house with only three beds.

Although I had received a booking confirmation, payment receipt, and itinerary for accommodations for eight people, I was not provided with the full house as promised. I had traveled a long distance and was left confused and disappointed. With no other option, I reluctantly accepted the situation. Some of my co-travelers were even forced to sleep in their car elsewhere. There were too many stairs to access the rooms, including a loft. No towels were provided. The driveway was difficult to access, and the parking space was narrow.

Disappointing Stay - Spa and Breakfast Fell Short

We were looking forward to a relaxing anniversary getaway at Forget Me Not Cottages and specifically booked the Green Room for the advertised private spa. Unfortunately, the spa was lukewarm and unusable due to the cold temperature. Despite contacting the owner, the issue was not resolved, and we received no apology.

The promised "full continental breakfast" was also underwhelming. Instead of the advertised bacon, eggs, and hash browns, we received only cereal crumbs (barely enough for one person), a few eggs (some cracked)small amounts of milk supplied, and packaged ham. The inclusion of defrosted bread slices instead of a full loaf of local bread, as we've experienced elsewhere, was another disappointing touch.

Issues like dirty cutlery, food residue on chopping boards, dirty faulty coffee machine, and only one towel per guest further detracted from our stay.

While Forget Me Not Cottages claims to be a "5-star hotel," recent reviews (which align with our experience) suggest a more realistic rating of 1 or 2 stars.

Music Room. We gave it a go after reading mixed reviews. On check in we were shocked how run down it appeared. As previous reviews had also stated.The gardens of all the cottages were all in need of care fencing falling over such a shame.The shower was ok the led light window cracked on front door. The current photos on website were obviously the previous owners way back. In side it was quite clean all lights were working the fire place was a bit smoky, good split system, breakfast for 2 nights plenty of bacon & eggs but UHT milk was out of date. Only 2 small juices supplied 2 apples 1 orange & 4 toast & 2 yoghurts. Had much better breakfasts elsewhere with tomato, hash browns, baked beans, mushrooms etc. The out side was so rundown it felt depressing barbques forget it not clean yuk. The spa not up to standard should have bought my dip stick to test the water. The the red leather lounge chairs looked like they were for kids so small. Old dusty fake flowers everywhere tacky. The kitchen draws cupboards very original, put it this way renovator's delight. What is it with the fake black sheep skin rugs either side of the bed? Very slippery on a highly polished floor. Photos tell my story. I will be forgetting the Forget me not cottages. Don't book this property. So dissapointed, their charging top dollar with little up keep, but so much potential.

Hidden romantic place in a lovely town. Had wonderful stay for our anniversary. Private cottages with hot spas in beautiful forest and nature.
