Sal made the most beautiful cake for our wedding. It was delicious and so beautifully decorated in a design that suited the wedding theme perfectly. With three tiers or raspberry and white choc on the top, blueberry and lemon curd in the middle and mud cake on the bottom, needless to say the cake was devoured by all the guests, with very little left over the next day! Thanks so much for doing such a beautiful job. I have also had nothing but great service from FoodStyling on every occasion, including corporate and private events. I highly recommend FOOD Styling for all your catering needs 😃😃😃

Sally was amazing designing both of the How To Train Your Dragon 🐉 cakes (Toothless & Light Fury) for my twin daughter’s who love 🥰 & adore the dragons.

She listened & worked closely with the particular requirements that my daughter made for her Light Fury cake which was not supposed to be like the Toothless one that her sister was getting.

I didn’t have to worry about anything & was able to pick up the cakes on the morning of the event.

All the children (close to 40) thought 💭 the cakes looked absolutely fabulous & tasted amazing.

As you can see via the photos that the cakes were Yummy 😋 even though Toothless was extremely popular but Light Fury was also delicious for children & adults who didn’t particularly like chocolate mud.

I would definitely recommend Sally 100% with her skills & creativity for your ideal custom cake 🍰

Once we found our dream venue, The Button Factory, we asked the owner Phil if he could recommend any caterers. Sally from Food Styling Melbourne was at the top of his list. Sally and her business now also run the café at The Button Factory. Given our wedding was planned during the difficult times of COVID and we were restricted in our ability to attend venues/appointments, it was really helpful that Sally and Phil work so closely together and that Sally had so much experience working at the venue.
When we met with Sally, we were still very uncertain about how many guests we could have and in what manner food would be allowed to be served (given COVID restrictions). Sally was flexible and adaptable, and provided us with a number of catering options. Our original wedding was planned for an island villa in the Philippines, so when we told Sally that we would like the theme of the night to bring South East Asia to Melbourne, she was very knowledgeable about the cuisine and open to some of our ideas (such as serving food on banana leaves). We really wanted a sit down menu, however we wanted the experience to be casual and social for our guests. Sally, and one of her head chefs Shaun, listened to everything to wanted and really understood the vibe that we going for, and came back to us with a menu that could put Chin Chin’s or Gingerboy to shame. It honestly blew us away!
When the food arrived at the tables, people’s mouths dropped! Giant banana leaves run the lengths of the long tables, and shared platters were impeccably styled. Our menu included crispy pork bao buns, kingfish ceviche, ginger-braised short ribs (which, when you picked them up melted off the bone) amongst other deliciousness, and they were incredibly accommodating to dietary requirements, ensuring that all our guests were catered for.
The feedback from all our guests was that they have NEVER eaten food that good at a wedding before! We could not recommend Sally and her amazing team enough! Make sure you also try her delicious baked treats at The Button Factory café.
