I typically book 97% of my travel on my own, but this time, I had to book through an agent due to traveling with a group. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reluctant to use an agent again.

The issue stemmed from miscommunication about dates & baggage allowances. I assumed that booking through a travel agent would provide clear guidance, allowing me to book with ease. I felt that I was misinformed, which led to unexpected costs. While I acknowledge that I was somewhat complacent in double-checking certain details for the group, I also expected a level of service that would ensure all critical information was communicated correctly.

I did follow up with Flight Centre's customer relations team, and they did try to assist, however, with heresay information, it is difficult to contest. I was going to acknowledge my fault, however the last email from their team was received with abruption, with their final email closed with, "This is the business final decision." Despite only receiving 3 emails from me.....

To avoid similar miscommunication, I’ll continue booking flights myself as I always have. However, I do hope that one day, I’ll have the same positive experience that some others have shared in these reviews.

I had a fantastic experience with Rufus from the Stud Park Flight Centre. Booking my return flight trip overseas was easy and stress-free. Even when the airline cancelled the flight 8pm the night before due to technical issues with the plane, I not only received email notification from Flight Centre that evening, but Rufus called as soon as the office opened the next morning to ensure I received message and he walked me through my options. As I needed to fly out that morning, he assisted me to process a full refund with the airline and offered to assist me to book a new flight and eventually put in a travel insurance claim. I did not expect this level of service! I cannot recommend Rufus and the Stud Park Flight Centre team enough.
