My husband and I could not fault our European adventure organised by Natalie at flight centre Mackay. Our trip was faultless and went according to plan. Natalie was always happy to answer any questions we had and there was plenty, she was great with suggestions and ideas for our trip . We are now rebooking with her for our travels in 2024!

Terrible experience! Booked a flight for my 7 year old daughter to fly from Brisbane to proserpine. She’ll be flying as an unaccompanied minor. Got quoted on the phone from a woman named paris lee, who told me the price would be around $191. I thought that was a sweet deal until she sent me an invoice for $267. I have paid the $267 because I thought she just told me the wrong price, didn’t think much of it. Keep in mind this woman never discussed any kind of booking fees or what any other flights I’d like my daughter to fly with, baggage prices, nor did she discuss any kind of deals. I rang Mackay flight centre because I’ve never put my daughter on a flight by herself an I was a little concerned, so I wanted to find out how they go about unaccompanied minors and I did not receive hardly any information on that either, unless I push for answers. This woman has the audacity to ring me after hours to tell me I owe a 50$ booking fee for her to be accompanied on the plane. Now I’m a little confused because the flights with qantas online it says her flight should only cost $197 including the unaccompanied minor fee. I told her I’d give her a ring back. Not even 2 minutes later Paris rings me back to tell me not to “worry” an that it has all been “paid“ for. I was like “ok cool no worries” not to mention during this phone call she’s asking me about my details that I’ve already given her from the start to even book this flight, plus asking me details that I thought she should’ve asked me first up? Anyways that was all good so I hung up. Not even 30 minutes later she sends me an email to saying “also sorry the $50 hasn’t been received yet” that it that’s all she said. There was no “sorry for the inconvenience?” She was also sending me links to forms that I had to fill out that didn’t even work? I asked to speak to a manger but she told me that had all gone home. So now I’m stressing out because I’ve already paid an extensive amount of money And it’s past hours to give them a call. I have rang qantas an they have said everything looks good to go but the agent has to issue the ticket. My daughter is meant to be getting on a flight Sunday I haven’t seen her since 15th of December and I cannot contact any agents because it’s the weekend. If this issue doesn’t get solved my daughter is going to be so upset when she realises she cannot get on her flight. I want to know why is it cheaper to book directly with qantas including the unaccompanied minor fee? Why am I being charged so much because I have not received a detailed invoice? to show me what I’ve paid for. Also when I gave her my daughters name at the start she said to me if she made any spelling mistakes to email her so she could fix it no doubt she spelt my girls name wrong an I was reading up that they charge $30 for any spelling mistakes? She didn’t even double check with me if her name was spelt right to begin with! So I’m guessing that was an extra fee to my booking. I just want to get my baby home. It’s safe to say though I’ll never book with flight centre Mackay EVER again!

My wife and I cannot fault the professional and respectful way in which Solveig at Flight Centre Mackay arranged all aspects of our travel arrangements.
When covid came along and curtailed our plans, Solveig stepped in and ensured all outstanding issues associated with that travel were finalized to everyone's satisfaction.
We would have no problem in recommending those looking at travelling to discuss their plans with Solveig and her Crew at Caneland

Solveig is amazing, always on call, even at obscure hours from anywhere in the world. Most recently she helped me with a return flight from the UK-Aus, expertly navigating the Covid travel era we are in and ensuring I was supported all the way when any issues arose - even phoning hotels on my behalf when my phone went flat!
