My partner and l had the best experience with Jessica at Balwyn Flight Centre. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She is so friendly and easy to talk to. Jessica is extremely knowledgable, kind, patient and has a great sense of humour, thank goodness, because l think l drove her crazy with all my questions! I had a fantastic experience booking my honeymoon trip. My flight agent was Michael Cooke and nothing was an inconvenience for him. I gave him a budget, timeframe and unreachable expectations of what I wanted within that budget but he worked his magic and managed to not only successfully plan us a honeymoon within that budget but exceeded expectations and was able to include extras for us as well. I had such a good experience with flight centre! Michael Cooke was such a big help in planning my Europe trip across multiple countries, including multiple flights, trains and accommodation which met exactly what we were looking for! He was very punctual with bookings, always offering to help out when needed, and was very thorough with the bookings looking at the smallest details, for example the location of the accomodation in reference to the nearest train stations, food, and easy access to popular tourist attractions! - these things really made the biggest difference, and it was so helpful especially with it being me and my friends first time travelling overseas alone before. Thanks so much to Michael for putting together such an awesome trip!!

Often when selecting an agent one must choose between kindness and competence, but with Jessica Hirvonen and the team at flight centre, there’s no compromise. From the moment we walked into the office, we felt very welcomed and encouraged to share the full extent of our travel plans. At this time, it was just my mate and I. As two people with very little travel experience, the whole team was very patient with us, answering all questions in a simple and easy to understand manner. To call our original plan ambitious is polite, to call it absurd and idiotic is more accurate. We had a plan for 12 months across every continent, with a budget for maybe 4 months at best. Rather than taking us on our ambition and booking a bunch of non-refundable activities, the team kindly talked us through the cost of our plan and helped us to come back to reality. We were originally a little disheartened, but the team assured us they would help us to get the best possible trip for our money, and boy, did they do just that! Our 4 month budget was stretched to over 6 and 1/2 due to the deals that flight centre was able to get us.

We were only in contact with Jess after our original office visit, and she was beyond excellent to communicate with. Efficient, friendly and knowledgeable, we have said a large number of times, without Jess, there would have been no trip. Whenever we asked for suggestions about what to do in a wide variety of countries across the world, we were always met with a slew of activities and accommodations; often within the same day. Jess helped book over 200 days away across South East Asia, Japan, Africa and Europe and made it seem effortless. Even with the consistent changes we made to this trip, Jess never once complained.

I feel that it’s important I expand on just how many changes our original plan we made, as not doing so would be a disservice to the level of effort Jess put in. Jess essentially planned about 5 different versions of the same trip. We originally had plans to visit the USA, South America and New Zealand, for all of which, Jess had made itineraries for all of them. We added 3 more boys to our time in Japan also, to which Jess integrated them seamlessly. Even when I asked Jess if it was possible for her to assist in organising a surprise for the mate I was with in Europe by having another two mates join us, she was not only accommodating, but eager to help. No matter how many times in apologised to Jess for the extensive amount of work I made her undergo to make our trip a reality, the only response I was ever met with was “happy to help!”.

Whenever we wanted to book an accomodation, tour or flight in random countries, Jess informed us of all options and assured that we got the best outcome for us every time. She pieced our trip together like a puzzle, finding events for us to do for specific breaks between the tours she also booked for us.

If our experience had ended here, I would have given it 5 stars and called it a brilliant experience, but that’s not the way Jess is. Jess goes above and beyond in every sense of the word. She assured us that she would always be there if we ever faced any troubles whilst abroad, which from anyone else would have seemed like hollow words, but with Jess, there was never a doubt that she meant it. We assumed right, as throughout our trip, any time that I, or anyone else I travelled with, had an issue, Jess was always only a text away.

It was easy to list the nice things I have to say about my experience with Flight Centre Balwyn, and yet, it is impossible to think of any negatives. It is rare to say you have had a perfect experience, but I couldn’t call it anything else. I can’t overstate how much I would recommend anyone to come to this store. Thank you to everyone from Flight Centre Balwyn for your help and an unforgettable experience.

P.S. we have already gone on to book another (much shorter) trip through Jess, as we were so pleased with the outcome of the previous trip. I couldn’t imagine planning it with anyone else.

Michael Cooke from Flight Centre, hooked Jess and I up with our best trip overseas to Fiji. He sorted us out with a deal within our price range and was just an all round top bloke to deal with. Understood what we wanted on our trip and got us everything and more, couldn’t thank him enough.
