Feast over cloud 9 was an unforgettable experience and perfect for special occasions, in my case, a Thursday night ?.
The service was prompt with delicious food (including some images attached) brought out seamlessly. The owners bubbly personality really made the evening even more special, as she took the time to chat with us and ensure everything was perfect.

A great looking experience, but that’s where it ends. Not the standard you might expect from The Grove. Odd mix of food and flavours - feel it was trying to be something it wasn’t quite capable of achieving. Some stale items, quite salty and lacking any genuine flavour. The setup is limited with food coming from a marquee, where they might be better placed to just serve simpler dishes with amazing flavour. Service was adequate when compared to The Grove (or any other restaurant/ hotel of a comparable level). Staff are using phones to communicate, giving the appearance of disinterested and lacked slick etiquette. All very rigid. Shame - nice idea, but not delivered by a team capable of meeting the standards some might expect from The Grove.

Feast on Cloud 9 was amazing!

Visited Feast on Cloud 9 with my girlfriend and had a fantastic time. The setting was beautifully done and unique. The staff were really welcoming and attentive throughout, making sure we had a relaxed and enjoyable time. The menu was really creative and the food was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and a high quality, fun evening out. We’ll definitely be going back.

The location and venue is really stunning, its a nice place to visit. Staff in the hotel were very helpful and polite however the food at the venue was poor to say the least, alongside the staff at the venue taking 10 years to bring you a drink or anything at all. - extremely slow service.

I’ve booked the dinner feast on cloud 9 at the Grove Hotel for the 40th birthday of my wife. Huge mistake! They forgot to serve the birthday cake which I paid in advance! I still havent got a response from thier customer service team to refund the cake. Service is appalling, waste of money. Dont go.

Absolutely Terrible Customer Service - do not book unless you are absolutely certain!

We wanted to cancel our booking for this Saturday months ago and we were met with a blunt no.

In all my years of dining at good, high-quality restaurants, I have never encountered such rude customer service and an outright refusal to accommodate a cancellation request.

Now apparently, it is buried in terms and conditions that the event is non-refundable…Frankly, in today's world, where most people simply tick t&c boxes without reading the details, this should be highlighted prominently in red with an asterisk, making it crystal clear to the customer.

So the first issue is that the event is non-refundable in the first place.

While I understand that cancellations pose challenges for the hospitality industry, that's precisely what deposits are for, especially when venues get fully booked and require reservations so far in advance... but things happen and plans change.

The irony is…if they actually dealt with the problem when we started contacting them MONTHS ago, they probably would have found a replacement booking AND been able to keep our deposit.

So the second issue is the absolutely appalling customer service.

My mum, who made the booking, called multiple times and when someone finally answered, they were very rude and only provided an email address. She then emailed THREE times, none of which have had a response.

I decided to call the number myself, and a person named Sarah answered. She was one of the rudest individuals I have ever encountered. When I tried to explain our situation, she dismissively said, "I don't care why you need to cancel, really." She claimed the event was fully booked and promised to send an email, which she never did. I highly doubt they would have responded even if she had.

Considering the prices they charge, a company should have a courteous and responsive customer service representative available. If Sarah is their on-site staff, I shudder to think about the level of service we can expect at the dinner itself.

Just to clarify, unless we are granted a refund for our cancellation, we will reluctantly attend our booking this Saturday, as we are not willing to throw away £700. I sincerely hope it proves to be worth it, and I will follow up with my impressions afterward.

Great idea feast on a cloud at the Grove in Hertfordshire and lovely setting but that is where the magic ends. Paid for champagne and got served Prosecco ! I hate Prosecco and we challenged we had to ask several times for the champagne we had paid for. The cakes were lack lustre and all had the same fake cream topping, and absolutely no flavour - spend your money at the ritz or Waldorf or Hilton. The sandwiches were ok again nothing original. Despite advertising home made preserve it was cheap catering pots of litchfield jam (their budget range) and only two jars for 8 scones, I don’t even think the cream was proper clotted cream it was too white and think it was just extra thick cream. It is a shame because this could have been magical it’s clear profit is put way above quality, the cakes were also sweaty and tasted like long life supermarket ones. If you advertise something make sure it is delivered to that standard !

Appalling customer service. I tried to cancel my booking as we had another important event that has come up, we were flatly denied this. The lady on the phone, a lady named Sarah was so rude. She answered the phone and didn’t even bother to listen to what I had to say, just refused to cancel my booking, apparently it is in the terms and conditions.

I emailed them a number of times for the past few months as she asked me to, I am still waiting to hear back from them.
I have not even received an acknowledgment of receipt of the email.

I dread to think of the quality of the event if this is the customer service I have received.
I will follow this review up with a review of the event once I attend it in a few weeks.
