My 13 year old son and I had such a significant time with Darren Lewis and team at Fathering Adventures in the Gold Coast recently. It was not only action packed, but full of significant guided times when I could say and convey to my son that he is loved and pass on dearly held values to him in such a supportive environment. Without this time, those words would not have been spoken nor my values passed on. Now we are stronger and his journey into authentic manhood more secure. In just the short time, we made heart felt friends and I appreciate the deep experience that Darren and partners bring to the weekend and offer it into the future too. I highly recommend this program for every man and his son.

My son and I had an unforgettable weekend at the Father & Son Adventure hosted by Fathering Adventures at QCCC Mapleton. The experience was incredible, filled with fun activities like canoeing, bushwalking, and swimming in fantastic facilities. A huge thank you to Darren Lewis for creating such a meaningful and transformative experience that truly strengthened our bond. The QCCC staff were exceptional, and the venue was top-notch. Highly recommend to any father or father figure looking to connect deeply with their child. A life-changing adventure we will always cherish!

My husband and 10 year old son just did a Fathering Adventures weekend and it was absolutely amazing. They did wonderful joint activities but also activities where the boys could bond separately and the dads could learn together too. My husband said he learned so much and loved the chance to connect with our son and also to meet other dads and sons. He will absolutely be taking our younger son when he's old enough. I think every dad should have this special opportunity to learn about fatherhood and raising capable, secure and happy young men.

I can’t recommend Fathering Adventures and their Guided Rites of Passage Adventures highly enough. The intentional time, conversations and teaching that the adventures include are priceless and have been an absolute highlight of my time as a dad with each of my kids. In my opinion, every dad with teenage kids should make it a priority to go on a Rites of Passage Adventure with everyone of their kids. You’ll be glad you did!

I grew up with loving parents, but my parents werent into celebrations so I do not recall parties and presents and cakes etc. Hence I did not think ceremonies for kids are important, until now!!!

During the fathering adventures, I realised that every single moments/celebrations/ceremonies, should come with their meanings.

What I have experienced in the 3.5 days of fathering adventures was that 1) family relationships are most important (so are God's relationship to us), 2) there is a reason why young adults do not behave like they should - because they werent taught!! In fathering adventures, we (father and child) learnt of the rite of passage from boyhood (girlhood) to manhood (womanhood), 3) I realised how much challenges it is to be a father, but how much opportunities at the same time! If Father is open to be a better father, a child will see it an want to learn and be a better child! 4) There is no perfect father on earth, but there is One Perfect Father in heaven!

Throughout the sessions, I cant help but to recognise that this experience is indeed what all modern day fathers should participate! The tears and the hugs will definitely worth it (the time and the price!)
