While staying in the Atherton Tablelands, my wife and I took a Nocturnal Exploration Tour and a Half Day Birding Tour with Patrick. What wonderful experiences we had! Patrick is extremely knowledgeable and has great communication skills. He clearly loves wildlife and is very keen to share the natural wonders of the Tablelands with like-minded people. We saw so many creatures that we have never seen before and loved every minute of each awesome tour - everything that we saw and all the interesting conversations we had. We highly recommend Patrick as a wildlife guide and we really enjoyed his company - he is a very nice person to spend time with and learn from, while seeing amazing creatures that you would not otherwise have a hope of seeing. My wife and I joined Patrick for a nighttime wildlife tour in the Atherton tablelands. He is a truly awesome guide. He's friendly and professional, he cares about the animals and natural environment, and it's amazing to watch him work and marvel at his ability to detect and point out hidden marsupials, birds, reptiles, and invertebrates. He shared lots of interesting info about the wildlife and made sure everyone in the party had a fair chance to see everything. We wish we had more time in the area just to go on a wider variety of tours with Patrick!

I took the four-hour Nocturnal Exploration Tour with Patrick and two other guests. Patrick was highly knowledgable and very skilled at finding the target species using a red light and a thermal monocular. He found many more animals than I would have seen spotlighting alone, giving us good views of Lumholtz's Tree Kangaroo, Rufous Bettong, Green and Lemuroid Ringtail Possums, Krefft's Glider, Greater Glider, Brush-tailed Possum (including the cinnamon form), Long-nosed Bandicoot and Fawn-footed Melomys, plus Northern Leaf-tailed and Chameleon Geckos. All logistics were excellent, and I would certainly take more outings with Eyes on Wildlife.

We had a great experience here with Patrick. He is super knowledgeable about the animals, we felt very safe the whole time and the tour was extremely flexible. I live not too far from here, but terrestrial animals are not my expertise, so Patrick was able to show us animals I had never seen (or even heard of!). There's also a wide range of different tours depending on your interests, and Patrick works extremely hard to find all the animals you're most interested in. If you've always wanted to see a platypus or a tree kangaroo....Patrick is your guy!

I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. My Partner and I took our three kids (oldest now grown up, youngest 13) along in the hope of showing them something we couldn’t find for ourselves. OMG! Patrick was amazing! His personal knowledge of the location, the wildlife, the natural history of Wet Tropics and the best things to see at the time of year was extraordinary. He is a joy to be with. If you find yourself in or around Atherton with an evening to spare this is a ‘must do’ experience. We’ll definitely be back.

Very enjoyable tour.
We were lucky enough to be the only 2 people booked on so were able to enjoy things at our own pace and get the photos we wanted.
The guide Patrick was very knowledgeable and friendly, and found us Possums, Tree Kangaroos, Frogs, Birds, Geckos, Bats, Spiders...
If we are ever in the Atherton area again, we will definitely be booking another tour.
