As a wedding professional myself, I knew I had high expectations when it came time to plan my wedding day. I had the privilege of working with Gen at a couple of weddings and I knew that she had to be my wedding coordinator.

Planning a wedding in just 5 months could have been extremely overwhelming, but Gen made the entire process feel seamless and stress-free. We enjoyed meeting with her during our video calls and she was very flexible with our busy schedule. If I ever had a question, Gen was readily available and open to communicating through text and email.

With her vast knowledge in the wedding industry, Gen provided recommendations that helped elevate our wedding, connected us with vendors that suited us, and organized a timeline with details that I didn’t even think about for our wedding day. She is extremely detail-oriented and very passionate about executing what we wanted for our garden wedding. Also, she has an inventory full of timeless and elegant decorations that will perfectly enhance your wedding day!

The day itself was beyond what I could have imagined—every element was perfectly executed, from the timeless decorations to the well-organized timeline. Gen and her team were so attentive by providing food for us during our cocktail hour, helping me bustle my dress, and making sure that we were on schedule while still enjoyed our special day.

Our guests could not stop raving about how beautiful and well-organized our wedding was. Gen took care of every detail, allowing me to enjoy the experience without worrying about logistics.

Choosing Gen as our wedding coordinator was hands-down the best decision we have ever made. Thank you, Gen and her team for turning my dream wedding into a reality! We are forever grateful and I can’t recommend her enough to anyone looking for a planner/coordinator who delivers both professionalism and a personal touch.

Gen was our planner for our June 2024 wedding! I am so so so grateful for her creative partnership on such a memorable and special day. I'm an art director/designer so it was important for me to work with a wedding planner that was detail orientated and cared about all the little beautiful details. She had GREAT vendor recommendations.

The actual day of the wedding was some INTENSE weather. Even though it was a June wedding, we had thunder, rain, and hail. We got married at Rock Creek Gardens ... so most of it was outside. She somehow miraculously pulled off an outdoor ceremony for us when the weather gave us a quick break of sun. It hailed and rained after vows but it was so special. She usually has couples make a call for inside or outside much earlier in the day but she was willing to work with her team to make this outdoor ceremony for us happen. So that did mean some things got a little scramble-y but she knew how to prioritize things to make us happy. Our catering vendor was also very important to us as we needed the Chinese Vietnamese 9 course dinner set and we didn't have many options. She planned accordingly to make that vendor work for us even though she might've sensed some red flags. My partner and I truly embrace chaos and lean into the funk. So it was a beautiful, elegant, fun, and vibrant day.

I could probably write paragraphs more. Thank you, Gen for being part of this special chapter in our lives <3

Please disregard the review from “Bánh Mi Xiu Mai.” I am beyond embarrassed to have to rush writing my rave review of Events by Genevieve to hastily explain that the review from BMXM is my immediate family member and I am the bride from that wedding. BMXM has no experience with wedding or event planning and unfortunately has a bad habit of having nothing nice to say about any business, restaurant, person, etc. (you can even see on their profile they only ever leave poor reviews) and so with that and so much more that I cannot fit into this review, everything they mentioned should be taken with a grain of salt. I purposefully did not involve family in any planning, and I urge you to not let that review carry any weight in your decision to choose Events by Genevieve. Instead, I can assure you without a doubt that Gen did everything in her power to make me and my husband’s wedding day the best day of our lives, no cliché intended. She and her team coordinated with my other fantastic vendors to set up my dream wedding. She made sure everyone involved knew what to do, where to be and when, etc. When necessary, she and my designated bridesmaids made last-minute executive decisions based on my ideas and aesthetic, as I preferred not to have to make decisions on my wedding day. I also had my bridesmaids relay extra plans to Gen the day of the wedding, and she fulfilled them without flinching. Gen even executed more than I had planned. Our centerpieces, sweetheart table, and cake cutting table were more dreamy and romantic than I imagined. Our dessert table, for which we gave no instruction on, was set up so professionally and made our desserts look more elegant than they really were. Our boba/bubble tea looked regal displayed on Gen’s gold bar back. Gen surprised us with a sparkler exit and used her own speaker for music as it would’ve been too cumbersome for our DJ to have to relocate all his heavy, expensive equipment. I didn’t even know my venue allowed a sparkler exit, and Gen of course made sure that it was performed safely. Speaking of my venue, my venue coordinator noted how impressed she was with Gen’s preparedness and knowledge. Also, my bridesmaids that I designated to work with Gen are still raving about how amazing she was, one noting how vastly different and stress free our wedding was compared to another she was recently apart of. I had another guest tell me it was the best wedding they’ve been to in their entire life. This is the reality of my wedding. Nobody, except BMXM of course, had anything but good things to say about my wedding. Despite BMXM’s misrepresentation, my wedding is still the best day of my life, and that’s what you’ll get when you choose Gen as your coordinator. Her and her team deliver. They will pull out all the stops. You’ll have a professional, productive rehearsal and an even more seamless wedding day, with a professionally-dressed coordinator and vendor team. You will have prompt, clear communication. They will make your dream a reality. You will get to marry the love of your life and then eat, drink, and dance the night away, and your only worry will be whether you and your partner can execute your first dance as well as you’ve practiced. They will take all the weight off your shoulders, and they will do all this with your happiness in mind, as well as rules, regulations, and safety so that you get your venue damage deposit back, which we did! I could write a book detailing every little thing she did for me, but don’t just take my word for it. If you look at her other reviews, website, and Instagram, you’ll see all the thought and care she puts into her work. Chat with other couples and vendors that have worked with her. Better yet, just do yourself a favor and book Events by Genevieve to coordinate your wedding before someone else takes your date. Live your life to the fullest and have Gen’s team at your wedding! Gen is an incredible wedding planner who helped make our wedding day so magical and special! I get stressed when it comes to planning parties or gatherings but Gen and her team helped me feel relaxed and I was able to fully enjoy the wedding without worries. Thanks to Gen we were also able to get connected with some fantastic vendors and even for things we wouldn't have considered for ourselves like calligraphy and giant flowers. Let's just say the giant flowers and other decor were a big hit at the wedding 😉 If you are looking for a wedding planner who takes the time to get to know you and works hard to help your visions come to life, Gen and her team are the right choice!

If I had to do my wedding all over again, the one vendor that I could not live without was Gen and her team.

Her initial free consultation was super detailed and wowed us from the very start. We knew we were in good hands after we decided to work with Gen for our wedding at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel.

I am a very organized type A kind of gal, so I knew what I wanted for my wedding, but she made it 110% even better with her vision, tips, and tricks. She also singlehandedly recommended almost all of our wedding vendors to make our wedding a dream come true.

Gen also has an inventory of decor that we could use as part of her coodination package so we did not have to buy it ourselves. We used her candles, welcome sign, golden frame holders, and high risers for florals.

Not only that, but she was super involved the day of our wedding. I was really able to take it easy and relax most of the day (and I am usually such an anxious gal!!!) because of her preparedness and presence throughout the wedding.

Working with Gen made me realize, if you need to prioritize one wedding vendor, it's got to be your wedding coordinator who holds the glue together to the wedding. I 110% recommend Gen as your wedding coordinator to make your dream come true wedding.

We were incredibly fortunate to work with Gen who traveled all the way from Seattle to the island of Saipan for our wedding. She is not only extremely professional and organized but also an excellent communicator and worked with us for the year leading up to our nuptials. She catered to every request my husband and I had, always going above and beyond to make our day perfect, and even though she was only on-island the week leading up to the wedding she had already hired her own temporary crew, coordinated with *all* the vendors seamlessly, and even worked with our vendors to add special details that didn’t even cross our minds to do! We have nothing but positive things to say about Gen and her team! We chose Gen for partial planning for our first day and then day of coordinator for our second day of wedding festivities. She went above and beyond and truly made sure both day would be a huge success.
