I had a great experience in the PG Diploma course at The Event Academy. The program equipped me with the skills needed to succeed in events and provided a work placement that offered invaluable experience in the industry. Plus, the team is amazing!

I have been disappointed with the lack of support and content on this course. After spending a substantial amount of money to complete the Level 4 Diploma I have had no interaction with any lecturers other than through the pre-recorded lectures where the content is lacking. Some lectures have been interesting and of use, while most have been common sense. I have had several learning resources missing from several of my units and had to contact the student services many times to release information that should already be available to me.

As a remote student I have felt particularly isolated and demotivated when joining live events - the lecturers will greet and welcome the students they know while ignore any remote students. The brief for the coursework was vague and contradicted the information given by the lecturer during the Q&A making it very difficult to know how to achieve a pass mark in this assessment.

Overall I have been disappointed in my experience with the Event Academy and do not feel this is good value for money.

Not recommended for short courses.

The positives: a good alternative to university if you want to gain a degree in the events industry

But For me personally, I had a disappointing experience for a few reasons. I did the online foundation course which cost just under 500 which is one of the reasons for my 2* review.

After doing the course, I think that 495.00 is too much to charge students. The content was poor as It was mainly slides and some videos of basic information you can get online via google research. Not once in the course do you get to talk to an actual teacher.....so i would STRONGLY not recommend spending that money on this course. Really not worth.

Also read up on the terms and conditions if you do buy a course so that you know how long you have to get a refund should you wish to cancel the course.

Events Academy conveniently tried to discourage me from a refund when the pandemic came, long enough for me to miss the deadline which i wasn't aware of so by time i asked for a refund, i couldn't get it as I had missed the refund deadline "according to their terms and conditions " Not once did they make me aware that I had so and so time left should I want a refund.....but Lesson learned I guess.

Just remember The education sector is also a business so read up on their terms and conditions so you don't end up "missing the deadline" should you want to change your mind and ask for a refund

I have fond memories of my time studying at the Event Academy, what an amazing learning experience. The venue and facilities support the course incredibly well, but it’s this combination with the people who make it a truly world class event institute from which to learn. From faculty to support staff members I got the impression that they really couldn’t do enough for you!

I had an amazing time doing the PG Diploma, in-depth, incisive and all encompassing. What I was exposed to and learned is invaluable and has kept me on the radar and relevant. I came with some knowledge and experience but I found the program content and approach overhauled and changed perspectives in a very positive and functional way. As well, the master class in virtual events was excellent with content that is much deeper, more useful and practical. Short individual blogs cannot compare. Thank you for such a delicious journey Event Academy!
This program requires hard and consistent work, students get back what they put in. Students have to come with an open mind, do RESEARCH, do the projects and assignments set and expect no spoon feeding. Students are prepared for the real world and are given opportunities to listen to and interact with industry practitioners in free webinars. Not many courses are so accommodating. Good value for my money.

Too expencive !! The teachers are experienced in the field like any other collage ,they tell you all about their experience but except teaching you they don't help you that much in terms of career progress .The course leaders are also selective who they want to help too I didn't get any help from them . We visited 2 sites at night when there is no activity , I don't understand the benefit ! And also for the project only 2 people get chance to visit the site the rest of us we you photos to plan the project LIKE ANY collage. I don't see anything special they give other can't give !!

Highly recommend the post graduate course at The Event Academy. The lecturers are very attentive to students and share their knowledge from across the industry. The course allows you to organise a live event which is invaluable at the beginning of an events career!

Waste of money. Completed the course earlier this year and has not benefited me what’s do ever. Support lacked while I was studying online. Wanted a refund or partial refund but was refused. Biggest regret.
