Worker Hayden is hopeless. Our suv car was switched without telling us. It was switch to a Ute which does work for a family. Absolutely piss poor effort. Manager was unable to be contacted. Not even a simple sorry. Who is hiring these people We got into this Ute and it stinks, lollie pop sticks in the back, rubbish and random boxes, no space for luggage or groceries other than an uncovered tray. No refund or discounts even provided. Disgusting I’d say!!!

Our experience with Europcar in Rockhampton started off promising, with clear communication about key collection. However, things quickly went downhill when we tried to add a second driver to our rental. Over the phone, we were told we only needed a driver’s license and that the fee would be around $50, including taxes. To our surprise, after driving 45 minutes to the airport, we were asked for additional documentation and told the fee had jumped to $87—a 74% increase from what we were originally told. When we questioned the discrepancy, the representative simply stated, “That’s what we need to charge,” and promised a manager would call us that same day to resolve the issue.

Over a week later, we’re still waiting for that call. Despite following up with Europcar’s customer service, who were polite but were unable to help and advised to contact the rental place we rented from , and when returning the vehicle nobody knew anything about it and the representative said he would get this sorted with the manager, however the manager has yet to reach out. It’s incredibly disappointing to be misled about costs and then left without resolution. The lack of accountability and communication has left us with no choice but to advise others to think twice before renting with Europcar.

Make sure you check they pay back your deposit you pay when picking up the vehicle, seems they do it on purpose not to pay it back
