Phenomenal Weekend at Essington Park

What an absolutely magical long weekend at Essington Park! From the moment we arrived at Simmone Logue's beautifully curated estate, we knew we were in for something special.

The food was exceptional – every meal was a testament to Simmone's culinary expertise and passion. The house itself was warm and inviting, with that perfect balance of rustic charm and contemporary comfort that made us immediately feel at home. Even the outdoor spaces and facilities were thoughtfully designed, creating an atmosphere that simply made us want to stay longer even in the depth of winter.

What struck me most was how Simmone has managed to create a space that feels incredibly curated yet extremely cozy. Every touchpoint was enchanting from the plush bedding and premium linens to the charming vintage accents throughout the restored Shearers' Quarters. You can feel the love and attention that went into every detail.

But ultimately, it's the people who made this weekend truly phenomenal. Simmone's radiant warmth and genuine hospitality absolutely melted our hearts. Her charismatic brother Andy was equally wonderful, adding to the family atmosphere that makes Essington Park so special. Together, they create an experience that goes far beyond accommodation – it's genuine connection and country hospitality at its finest.

Located in the rolling hills near Oberon, NSW, Essington Park offers the perfect escape from everyday life. The heritage Shearers' Quarters, originally built around 1900, provide a unique glimpse into rural Australian history while delivering all the modern comforts you could want. Whether you're soaking in a clawfoot tub, snuggling under electric blankets on crisp country evenings, or simply enjoying the restorative quiet of rural life, every moment feels special.

This is more than just a farm stay it's an experience that will stay with you long after you leave. We're already planning our return visit!

An unforgettable experience! The Culinary Toolbox weekend workshop at Essington Park with Simmone Logue was pure magic. From the moment we arrived, everything was beautifully curated—from the warm, luxurious accommodation to the crackling fires and perfectly paced days of hands-on cooking.

Simmone is not only a talented chef but an incredible teacher and storyteller. She guided us through a delicious range of recipes—chutneys, preserved lemons, lemon curd, herbed butters, labneh, frangipane tart, and the best roasted chicken and schnitzel I’ve ever had. Each dish felt like a little gem in her culinary collection, and I walked away with so many new skills and ideas.

The setting at Essington Park is breathtaking, the food was soul-nourishing, and the sense of community made it even more special. I left full—of knowledge, inspiration, and gratitude. Already planning my return!

Superb! Essington Park was a perfect choice to stay and catch up with old friends - its location, charm and the hospitality shown to our group was truly unique. The fabulous dinner prepared and cooked by Simmone was a highlight, not to mention the sour dough bread, freshly baked and delivered each morning! The Shearer's Quarters guest rooms were warm and cosy with lovely comfy beds. Just perfect after a red wine by the fire.
