We had our wedding at Emu Bottom recently, in The Homestead. My (now) husband and I cannot stop raving about how perfect the venue was. Alex from the Epicurean group made the planning process very easy and stress free. Melinda, the coordinator on the day, was just amazing. She kept my husband and I very calm. She told us she loves weddings and that was very evident in the way she ran the whole day so perfectly. We also met the owner of the property a few times and she was also delightful and obviously looks after the property so well. All the staff on the day were so lovely. The venue itself is just beautiful, there are beautiful gum trees everywhere. The kookaburras were laughing during our ceremony which was just amazing. All our guests raved about the food, which was very important to us. The day could not have been better. Thank you for making our wedding day just perfect!! Could not recommend Emu Bottom enough.

HISTORY

Built in 1836, Emu Bottom Homestead is Victoria's oldest homestead.
It is said that the Emu Bottom homesteads story began on August 30th, 1835, when the schooner Enterprise sailed â›ĩī¸ up Port Phillip Bay and on board was the first party of settlers.
Who built the huts 🛖 on the banks of the Yarra from which the City of Melbourne grew.
George Evans was among the group who, after further exploring the area, he chose to settle in a picturesque valley, which he named Emu Bottom.

Very vintage, and very cold at night. Thankfully they had that jet heater 😅 And it all looked great for the wedding!

Wedding venue, an old rustic farmhouse with sheep, roos, rabbits and classic aussie surroundings. Fireplace thawed our limbs after an outdoor ceremony. Some noise reduction features desperately needed as dinner small talk almost impossible with 60 people in the room. Also small arrows directing people to the restrooms would be of great help as more than one had a desperate glance in their eye!

Attended a very unusual wedding here recently.
Fantastic place. Beautiful garden fir the ceremony and the shed set up for the reception was lovely.
The food was sufficient and very tasty.
I have no criticism at all of this venue.

A couple of suggestions please don't be offended
Toilet isn't disability friendly so the aged struggled to get up several steps.
Coffee/ tea wasn't available until dessert was served.
Lighting along and outside the ramp isn't enough when your in your 80s and can't see. My mum was scared she might fall.
