Did the Darwin to Broome ride. What an epic adventure. The distances were long at times as expected and I was amazed at the length and straightness of the dirt roads. We rode through spectacular scenery and swam in the most picturesque Gorges and waterfalls. The Ellwood crew were amazing, their support and food were outstanding.

Whilst visiting Cairns, my partner and I looked into hiring motorcycles for the day to look around.
We can't recommend Ellwood Motorcycle Adventures enough.
We knocked on their door at 8am to try our luck. They couldn't have been more accommodating.
Supplying us with 2 Interceptor 650 Royal Enfield bikes, helmets, gloves and jackets at an incredible price.
We hit the road for the day and covered over 250km on the bikes over 8hours.
The bikes ran great, the scenery was amazing and the staff were fantastic.
We would recommend Ellwood to any rider looking for a day exploring the Cairns area, you won't regret it.

After having some time to reflect on my trip to Nepal with Ellwood Motorcycle Adventures, I can now only truly say that this was one of the most memorable things I'll ever do in my lifetime! The people, the culture, the landscape, the adventure. Nothing could have prepared me for what lied ahead on this trip, I'll be forever thankful to Ellyse and Woody for making this possible! Can't wait to take part in the next EMA tour!

At first I thought 6 1/2 grand was a lot for a week long trip but boy was it worth it? Three guides and two support staff working long hours to make sure everything we needed or wanted was provided for !nothing was too hard or too bigger task to make our week better. 1600 kms. Cairns to the Cape.We did heaps of very cool rides you would never find alone and all the iconic tracks including the Creb, Starkey, Tely, the Frenchman’s ! carried Bikes across the Pascoe , flats and drowned bikes, all good, the boys sorted it out with no fuss. They catered for all
rider abilities although I’d suggest you get a bit fit cause it was very challenging! can’t thank the team enough for the week that we had, we made lifelong memories with a great bunch of people. Highly recommended!

Absolutely awesome bunch of people. Turned up out of the blue asking if we could hire a couple of bikes for the day for a ride around Cairns. They were super accomodating and we hired two Enfield 650 Interceptors in fantastic condition with all the riding gear to go with for a great price.
Returned the bikes later that day to another warm welcome and some great chats about their upcoming trip to the Cape and their plans to work around some challenges. I definitely recommend them for local rides and tours up north!

Geez… where do I even start?

I booked with Ellwood as a solo traveller, having never done anything like this before—and honestly, with pretty limited dirt bike skills. I could easily write pages about this trip, but to sum it up: it was the trip of a lifetime. If you're even thinking about doing it, just book it. You won’t regret it.

Yeah, we rode some of the main access roads, but the real magic was in the access to private properties with amazing tracks and jaw-dropping scenery. Each day had ride options to suit everyone, no matter your skill level. The crew were always there with support, advice, and good vibes to help get us through the tougher bits.

The bikes were in awesome condition, too. You could tell the crew really looked after them—every day they were checked, and ready to go. It made a huge difference knowing we were riding well-maintained gear all week.

Every night we camped, and the setup was always spot-on—great food, great facilities, and an awesome atmosphere. Being on those private properties made it feel even more special. Finishing each day with a solid meal, a fire, and a few drinks with the crew we’d been riding with all day... Unreal.

Huge shoutout to Ellyse, Woody, Pete, and Gav who looked after our group. They each bring something unique to the table and work together like a well-oiled machine. Honestly, they make it all run so smoothly and create an experience that’s hard to beat.

After this trip with Ellwood, I wouldn’t even consider going with anyone else. Nothing else compares.
