Absolutely loved our visit to Down The Rabbit Hole! The mushroom arancini balls were outstanding – perfectly crispy and full of flavour. The pizzas were equally fabulous, fresh and packed with delicious toppings. I also have to say, their rosé is hands down the best I’ve tasted in the region – so refreshing and beautifully balanced. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, and the staff were professional, warm, and genuinely friendly. A must-visit spot in McLaren Vale!

We came here for a birthday dinner after spending some time in the Adelaide Hills region and were so glad we did! Our only regret is not finding here sooner! The place is beautiful, we absolutely loved the aesthetic, outside and inside. The food is amazing, we came on pizza night and tried their new menu and it was so tasty. But the most memorable part was the amazing staff! So friendly and chatty, we never felt rushed at any point, I’ve never had such friendly staff ever before. Especially Talia who served us all night. Thank you for making our evening so special.

We came here for lunch and the place was a dream - literally. Like someone stepped into my head and took a picture of what the perfect, idyllic home & property would look like. Everything was fantastic. We had the most friendly, warm, joyful service from Sandra (from Vienna). All the food we ordered were a delightful balance of flavours, textures and smells. We highly recommend the arancini balls, roasted potatoes, the pork fennel prosciutto pizza (drizzled with honey and topped with ricotta was perfection) and the prawn pizza. Imagine eating this gorgeous meal, sitting in a beautiful marque looking out to happy families having picnics on verdant lawns, surrounded by blooming cottage gardens, complete with a fabulous 50s/ 60s soundtrack being played - it was stepping into a dream, except it’s real. A must-visit next time I’m back in SA.

If you’re reading the outstanding reviews and considering a visit to the cellar door, or planning a reservation at Fiore Restaurant or one of their wine and food packages—don’t hesitate. Go for it! The experience we had at Down The Rabbit Hole was truly remarkable.

From the moment we arrived, the staff warmly welcomed us and guided us to the tasting room. The setup was stunning, featuring a beautifully designed Nordic and Boho interior with coastal vibes—a perfect setting to explore new world wines. Their wines were crisp, young, and delightfully enjoyable as table wines.

After an hour of tasting, the staff escorted us to the restaurant for the Mangiamo “Let’s Eat” menu. Every aspect of the dining experience—the order of courses, presentation, flavors, and portion sizes—was spot on. It was clear how much thought went into showcasing local ingredients and reflecting the region’s climate through their cuisine. The dining atmosphere was wonderfully relaxing, with calming folk and indie music playing in the background. In contrast, the food was a burst of excitement! Each dish left us in awe—perfectly crafted to spark conversation, take photos of, and share with everyone you know.

A special shoutout to Jason, who took such great care of us throughout the entire dining experience. After the meal, we wandered around a bit longer, checking out their adorable alpacas and chickens, and relaxing on the grass.

We can’t wait to return and try more of their wines and dishes!

We’ve experienced the generous, delicious and stunning Feed Me menu crafted from the incredibly talented Chef Nick Tadija and his passionate Team.
The crew is very accommodating, professional annd knowledgeable and took care of us starting from the booking until the end of our experience.
