Beautiful place. We were the only 2 people there. Next time we will bring the kayaks. And we finally got here with the kayaks. It was wonderful paddling up the river listening to the wildlife. Once again just the two of us there.

How cool is this place! Red dirt and spinifex all around and then in the middle of nowhere a beautiful lush waterway! The path to the water is mostly concrete ending in red gravel. There are picnic tables and BBQs. The toilets at the carpark about 300m from the water. There are two ccess points, being stairways, into the water which were great. We liked the stairs to the left as it felt more open. The water was so refreshing (the temp got to 41). Birds were flying all over and there were heaps of little fish (and some not so little catfish).

I loved it, so much fun feeding the catfish with the kids and easy access to the river. Lots of barbecue areas, clean toilets and shade. Great spot for a picnic and a splash, bring your paddle board or kayak if you have one.

Not a pool at all but a wide river (even in the dry season). Lots of shaded picnic and barbecue spots plus steps into the river for swimming and other water activities. Toilets nearby.
