Our favourite overnighter. Some back rooms can be a little noisy but no problems at all this last time. Excellent value for money. Great beds. Shared bathrooms beautifully renovated and nicely kept. Yummy food and warm fire in pub during winter. Great place for motorbike rides.

If you are heading through crookwell and looking to sit down for a meal, I highly recommend this place. The outlaw chicken was so succulent with brilliant aromas of sundried tomato and creamy sauce all to give you a completely huge flavour bomb in your mouth. The steak sandwich is a perfect bite every single time, the bread was fresh and the steak cooked perfectly. Everything was completely above expectation and to top of the mouth watering food the service was wonderful and staff extremely friendly.

This review is based on Accommodation only. Received a warm welcome by bar staff when I walked in. Check in was easy. I rang and booked a room over the phone & paid by card at the bar on arrival. I was pleasantly surprised by the refurbishments of an old country pub. I was in The Orchid Room. It was spacious enough with bedside tables, a table and chair, wall mirror heater and air con window unit and nice decor with a funky pendant light. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows and well presented with a patterned duvet and additional quilt and towels on the end Bonus was the electric blanket (if you know the area you need it in winter). Down the hall was a sitting room and TV lounge area to relax in with coffee/tea making facilities. The shared bathrooms have also been updated with rain showerheads and a modern basin and fixtures. Though the shower had no bench a rail style cabin rack was on the wall and storage caddy on the the door with hooks so you can put your clothes up and sit toiletries on. There is a built in shelf in the shower recess for putting toiletries on. I could not fault the cleanliness and it is good value. I've stayed at other pub accommodation that was pitiful but this excelled in every way.

A regular haunt for accommodation. We stay here quite often. It is clean and adequate and the rooms are of a decent size. Bathrooms are clean but basic. There is a lot of potential to the rooms and bathrooms in this hotel to make it really classy. It is quiet despite being on top of the pub and in the main road.

Drinks are usual pub fare, food is reportedly good.

There is a courtesy bus but it is limited to Crookwell - not even nearby villages no more than 8 minutes away! Silly loss of potential business.

There is room in the back courtyard for several motorcycles. However, when the pub is heaving with people, you may find your bikes are sharing the courtyard with patrons.
