This is our second time staying here for a stop over to Brisbane. I highly recommend staying here. My kids love it when we stay the night as the beds are so comfy and it has everything we need as a family. Jenish, the Manager, is so helpful and made our stay worthwhile. Great service! Would stay here again on our next trip up north.

I was coming in late on my way from Brisbane in early April. I was able to make a last minute booking in a room with a spa bath. When I arrived the gentleman was closing up and was about to put my key in the after hours box. I asked if there was a way to the 2nd floor and there was not but kindly let me go through the back entrance. As for a restaurant or bar to eat in, it was being renovated and due to open in a couple of weeks so had to go down the road to find something.
Room had a funny smell but was clean. Not a moldy smell, just a strange smell.
Noise from the road was not to bad but could hear the people in the next room. Pool looked good and would be great for families.
Conveniently located to The Big banana and aquarium. If needing the shops just a little ways down the hill.
Was ok for one night.

The room was very dingy and no where near worth $199 regardless of being pet friendly.
The bathroom had some sort of spider eggs nesting waiting to make it their own, definitely didn't pay $199 to walk into a room that smelt like mold and felt unsafe.
The side tables were barely hanging on, not very safe at all really.

The check in system itself was a bit dodgy also, no lock on the key collection box so anyone could just come and take your room if they really felt like it.

The whole vibe of the place felt incredibly unsafe.

We left immediately after arrival, did not want to spend another minute there with the lock system they had on the door either.

Spacious rooms, friendly reception, great price - free upgrad to a family room for just 2 of us, close to everything, great heating and shower. Would definitely stay again when down this way.

Left immediately upon arrival, the room smelled of mould and there were spider eggs located in the bathroom window.

The room was outdated and the key box was not secured at all, anyone could walk up and take any room key.

Paid $199 for this quality.

Stayed for 1 night while travelling. Room was large but in very ordinary state.
Dead cockroaches on the floor.
Exhaust fan cut in and out all night.
Soap/shampoo dispenser in shower broken.
Large bed but sheets just covered it- too small for bed.
Cover over blanket looked stained in spots but it was actually thread bear, as were the towels.
Spa in room could not use if I had wanted to, chips out of the enamel.
Spare blanket was fit for the scrap heap. Large rip in one end and binding warn out and freyed.
Checked in late and left before the reception opened so left a note asking them to call to discuss my concerns.
Still waiting to hear from them.

Stayed 1 night 27/12/2024. Paid $300 for a room that whilst clean, was extremely outdated. There was an ancient air conditioner that had one setting for 29 degrees. A portable air con unit was in the room with no operating instructions. When I did get it going it was too loud to use when trying to sleep. The restaurant was closed 'for renovations' during what surely is the busiest time of the year. My family had another room that had a broken cupboard door, very dirty liquid soap dispenser and a mattress that sank in the middle.
There are no hand rails on the stairs leading up to the block I was in and the whole structure felt old and grubby.
Such a shame when this motel is in such a good spot. Definitely cannot recommend.

We stayed overnight in our way to Gold Coast. The room was very clean and comfortable for our overnight stay. Staff was very accommodating of our after hours arrival. I read people complaining of noise etc, but even though it’s next to the road we didn’t hear a thing! It’s a motor in so you should expect the basics, it’s not a 5 stars hotel. We were a family of 5 and all slept comfortably. Our expectations were low and we were happy with the price and for having a clean place to rest. Will stay again!|PS: it’s next door to the big banana so kids enjoyed it too!
