Just finished a 23 day cosmos tour British isles in depth.
The only plus was the coach driver Joe. Thank god for Joe. We began with no meet & greet and no effort made from cosmos reps to inform us of any tours whilst we had spare time in London. We did not sign up for a history excursion & found the tour guide treated us (47) like school kids & forced her boring knowledge on us constantly. She told us where to sit every day, to be silent whilst she spoke (all the time)what time to eat, how long we had at each stop. The stops were so brief that by the time you found something for lunch there was no time for sightseeing or joining a tour. All hotels were second rate, rooms were so tiny & hot & stuffy with shower over bath in all. All included meals were dreadful. Optional extras were overpriced and awful. Only Optional that was worth it was the Scottish night. Nothing was included. The whole bus got sick with a serious rsv like virus & the tour director made no effort to help anyone with doctor's, hospitals or pharmacy requirements, let alone enquire as to how people were nor make any effort to keep the infection to a minimum. We even had one passenger medi vac'd home. Several went to emergency & lots went to the doctor. Whilst sick she forced us off the bus to walk in the rain without a care for anyone's health. All places visited were so brief it wasn't worth stopping. We had no idea of what was worth seeing as she was too busy talking about ancient history to prepare us for the stop. The itinerary is cosmos's fault you need to redo the whole thing. Way too much time on the bus and way too many people. Save our tour guide for an English literature/Ancient history excursion, those students may be the only ones that would enjoy her knowledge. This was our first and last cosmos tour.

We did Ultimate South America. We were left stranded at the airport in Brazil at 4am in the morning after a 36 hr flight as our transfer left without us. We had no contacts and had to find our own way to the hotel. We were told it would suit a 40 year old couple. The average age was 70+. Multiple people not could walk without the aid of a wheelchair or walking frame and received no assistance. So it was our job to get them around. Due to nobody being able to walk we missed out on many activities. Our tour guide Paulo was incompetent. We were charged multiple times for activities we could attend due to insufficient numbers as most people we too unfit to attend.Save your money and go with a better company

We did the 23 day British Isles in Depth. The tour itinerary was great and we saw a lot. Tour guide was knowledgeable but boring.
We were disappointed to learn there would be no porterage for the entire tour. ? Most places we stayed had stairs to negotiate with heavy bags. This done with the average age on the tour being over 70. The position of the hotels were way out of town in most cases. The included dinners were not good. I would never recommend Cosmos to anyone from the older group or anyone expecting porterage. The level of the hotels were mostly very second rate with things broken or no hot water etc. Don't believe that there is WIFI on the coach either, as it doesn't really work for more than about 5 people at a time. When the coach has a 52 person capacity, that means that WIFI is not accessable. Also some of the optional.tours wereway overpriced.

We did the 25 day UK tour and the 15 day Monuments and Canyons tour in the USA - both terrific. Well organized and well run. Tour guides were great. Waiting for COVID to drop away and we will pick up where we left off.

We recently completed Cosmos tour 6900, Northern Highlights & The Arctic Circle. It was our first Cosmos tour & will be our last, nor would we recommend Cosmos to anyone. The hotels in Finland & Norway were substandard, with very small rooms barely accommodating 2 people plus luggage as well as being located too far from the city centres. In Honningsvag the room was dirty & smelled of mildew & sewerage.

In Trondheim the hotel was located too far away from the city & as a result of a 9 hour coach trip we arrived at 6.30pm, did a quick orientation tour & missed seeing Trondheim altogether. An extra night needs to be added to Trondheim if anyone wants to do this apparently lovely town justice.

Our driver & tour leader were very good, however.

In Oslo, the hotel was a 30 minute walk to town & the room was so small if we put our suitcase down, we couldn't open the bathroom door!

Also, the optional tours are many & too expensive & if you didn't do them, there was very little else to do, being located so from the sites.

Whilst Norwegian scenery is stunning & Finland lovely it was overall not a great experience.

We chose Cosmos because the dates worked in with another tour but under no circumstances would we travel with them again.

I used Cosmos for National Parks of America so good highly recommended. What I enjoyed the most was the places that we stayed not in the cities but out of town more chance of exploring. Plenty of free time. Not all meals included and one had to purchase lunch regularly .The guide and bus driver where amazing .I can highly recommend this tour and I would use Cosmos again if the adventure offered suited my needs

Love Cosmos. They really looked after me on my last UK holiday. Our guide Julie-Anne went above and beyond to look out for the group. Am planning my next trip for late 2023.
