Such a good caravan park located just outside the main town, only 1.5 km to all the shops. Lovely easy walk in and up to the esplanade, very pretty.
Very helpful hosts ensured I had a good spot, allowed dogs and keep everything looking clean and tidy.
The swimming pool was great, just warming up nicely.
The toilets and showers were great, hot showers with good water pressure.
I also made use of the washing machine and clothes line. $5 for a load. Great!

Staff went above and beyond for us after we lost our car key off the jetty. They gave us the best spot in the park, they loaned us a tent, a mattress and linen.
The park is very well cared for, nice shady grounds and great facilities. Will definitely be coming back.

Thanks for having us!!

We camped here for 4 days. Amazingly clean, new facilities. Lovely pool and camp kitchen. This is a very well managed park run by welcoming people. Powered and unpowered sites. Close to town but quiet. Courtesy bus provided all day by the local clubs and pub if you want to go into town. 5/5 from us on every count. And no sand flies!

Friendly young family who run the park and nothing was too much trouble for them to fit us in on a powered site.

Sites decent size, quiet, well presented park that is very kid friendly with a pool, camp kitchen, amenities, dryer, washing machine and dump point.

We stayed 3 nights and will be staying there when we come back down from the tip (Pajinka).

$47 per night for a powered site and a family of 4, we thought this was really reasonable.

we were told the room was small, which would have been fine for 1 night, but we were there for 4 nights and struggled as no room to move or anywhere to cook, so we left a night early. manager was really nice and park was good.

Now, generally we stay in caravan Parks under sufferance (because we have no choice) BUT Cooktown Holiday Park is truly awesome.
Sites - roomy, grassy, easy access, with a concierge service to direct you to your site
Amenities - the best I think we've experienced in all our extensive travels. Unisex, large, excellent water pressure, clean, mops in each toilet/shower room.
Noise levels - very quiet, except for birdlife
Other - pool looks beautiful (we didn't indulge) and big, clean camp kitchen.
Location - extended for an additional night so we could use as a base to travel down to Wujal Wujal Falls
Overall, we left under sufferance, but the travels must continue ...

Great park with lots of shade. No bugs an extra bonus. BBQ in camp kitchen could do with an upgrade. Also please provide a mop in the facilities. Otherwise all good
