Japan tour - October 2024 motorcycle tour.
This was our first Compass Expeditions tour, but we'll definitely do more. It was an amazing experience, going places where not many tourists would dare to go, and riding back roads through the mountains and coast of Japan. Great organization and smooth administration of the tour- meant everyone was looked after really well and "no man (or woman) left behind". Great camaraderie throughout the group, and even though there were a lot of us, we all got to the destination safe and in time- which in a foreign place like Japan is difficult to do, but not for Compass! Thank you Jerry and the team, it was a great experience and wonderful memories that we'll cherish for the rest of our lives.

Recently discovered Japan on a motorcycle and thanks to Compass Expeditions, Jerry, Josh and everyone who helped in the background it was an outstanding experience and super smooth dive into a completely new country and culture. It was my 5th trip with Compass after having mainly toured through Australia with them (incl.iconic trips like Darwin to Melbourne, to Tasmania or the Outback with Charley Boorman or offroad training with Simon Pavey) and as always it has been perfectly organised! The bikes were in excellent condition, serviced and repaired when needed, and just throwing the luggage into the van is so convenient - and knowing you have a backup and a helping hand in case something goes wrong is fantastic, as I could experience it during a little "off" in the outback years ago. The team will always try their very best to ensure your well-being and the atmosphere on Compass tours with like-minded people is just great! Highly recommended, certainly wasn't my last tour!

Had a fantastic time. Great riding, great company, great organisation.
We really embraced the culture with lots of Japanese food, onsens and Yakata wearing.

Amazing Tasmania and the High Country tour 2024. Fantastic organisation, people, accommodation (awesome), meals and attention to detail. From the chauffeured airport pick up, storing my bike that I transported from interstate, to the briefings and having everything all sorted so you can just ride and enjoy the amazing roads, places and people. Big shout out to Jerry, Tim and the rest of the Compass crew - and of course having Charley and Billy lead the tour made it that much more fun. A real bucket list trip, and one I will remember for ever. Will do everything I can to do another of Compass' trips. Highly recommended.

Having just returned from an unforgettable trip to Portugal, Morocco and Spain I can’t help but marvel at the amazing adventures experienced along the way. From riding the amazing roads, experiencing the scenery, picnics, and enjoying the great company, everything was carefully planned to ensure everybody had an unforgettable experience. Spending almost 10 days in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco was a key highlight, offering breath-taking scenery and amazing riding, something I will never forget.
Our guides Fiz, Joao & Josh enhanced the adventure, bringing their knowledge and humour to the group, whilst ensuring each day was accommodated all riding abilities across the 21 days. Thanks to the seamless coordination by Compass, our journey was made even more enjoyable with more than comfortable accommodation, perfectly orchestrated picnic lunches and pre-booked dinners adding to the overall experience of the trip.

MEDITERRANEAN TO THE BALKANS 2024
I have been on 12 motorcycle tours with 5 different companies and I always consistently return to Compass Expeditions to satisfy my adventure riding and travel addiction.

Having just completed my 6th tour with Compass on the Mediterranean to Balkans 20-day tour, I would undoubtedly say I am a happy customer. Riding along coastal twisting roads of Corsica, Italy’s Amalfi coast, Montenegro, and Croatia was superb. Add to that even more twisties in the mountains of Italy’s Tuscany region, Corsica, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Slovenia provides 3 weeks of motorcycling heaven. Rest days in Rome, Sorrento (incl. Capri), Dubrovnik, Trogir (incl. Split), as well as starting in Venice and finishing in Ljubljana, ensure plenty of time for sightseeing around those beautiful cities. A cornucopia of countries, cultures, foods, scenery, and a top-notch Compass Team (thanks Stu & Carl) made this an amazing experience, with just a few ferry crossings sprinkled in for added adventure!

However, the only problem with going on a Compass Expeditions tour is deciding which tour to go on next! Hmmm…Mongolia, Japan, Africa. “Boss, I need more vacation!”

SPAIN, PORTUGAL, & MOROCCO 2022
After finishing my fourth tour with Compass Expeditions over the last 5 years, it is an understatement to say that I enjoyed myself on this latest tour through Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. Riding along rolling hills and twisting back roads through the Andalusia region of Spain, the Algarve region of Portugal, and the Atlas Mountains of Morocco was sublime. Three weeks of great riding, unique and interesting accommodation, scenery to die for, delicious food, and a top notch Compass Team, made this adventure one that I didn’t want to end!

As with my previous Compass Expedition tours to South America (Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina) and Kyrgyzstan, the organization, planning, and execution of Compass tours is excellent. The old saying that “if everything goes to plan, then it’s not an adventure” is true for most Adventure tours. Unexpected things can happen on an extended motorcycle tour, including weather delays, civil unrest, mechanical issues, and sometimes accidents. But the Compass team are cool, calm, and collect, with an innate ability to problem solve and get the group back on track, always with a smile and easy going nature.

One special feature with Compass Expeditions is the nearly all-inclusive nature of the Tours. Petrol, tolls, accommodation, all breakfasts, lunches on riding days (scrumptious picnic lunches!), and a good number of the dinners, are included in the tour price, which makes for easy budgeting for the tour. Just throw in your spending money and you’re good to go. Transparent tour costs, excellent home office support before, during and after the tours, and tour guides passionate about adventure riding, makes for a fantastic combination in a Tour Company. How much do I recommend Compass Expeditions? Well, I just booked my 5th tour for next year!
